Oct 23, 2009 - i think you might be wrong on this account, not because your stupid but because i think what they are saying comes from the campaign mode, which you say you never palyed. In campaign mode the family members get the cool outfits, but captins are kind of bland.

What they're saying is there are General units that look like that in Campaign, but the "generals" of Multiplayer are actually captains on Campaign. What Prince is saying is the Captains still shouldn't look that bad. Okay everyone relax and take a deep breath :P

Nov 2, 2009 - I'm not sure, but I think it's when you have infantry fighting infantry and you circle around the back of the enemy infantry with heavy cavalry and charge them into the back for a bonus. It works especially well on phalanx units (spears, pikes, etc.)

Nov 4, 2009 - PoM, I'm not sure if this issue was resolved or not, so I'll just add to it. The captains and family members are two different models in the campaign mode of the game, they look different on and off the battlefield. I can only imagine that this was done for the sole purpose of distinguishing between the two. The captains don't look that way in custom battles because you cannot add a family member into your army with a custom battle. I hope that helped some

Nov 14, 2009 - i was really lucky when i did this batte for the first time. the ai sent the elephants alone and i routed them with my javelins and pila just before they charged. it was funny
