Nov 25, 2009 - Geep, what can I say? Again the voice of reason speaks trough you /to a certain point that is; the "misinformation" argument is somewhat dubious/ :)

RsGhost1 Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - Everytime you post a comment you prove how full of crap you are. My assertions are your concern else you wouldn't be replying and you are admitting I'm a Hendrix fan where you first said I was a disgrace to him. And what makes you think I post these 'rituals' on guitarist's pages? First of all it's not true and second of all you couldn't possibly know because you're a no-life idiot who contradicts himself in every sentence. Pretty ironic that you're calling me ignorant and stupid.

Nov 25, 2009 - Jimi and SRV play jimi's music both in their own way, you can't compare. I think Hendrix would appreciate what SRV did with his music and so should his fans. Forget all this spiritual talk, a person can choose to view a musician the way they want. For some people these musician's largely affect their lives in a positive way. No need to fuss about such great music, whether it's srv or jimi...doesn't matter they both mastered the ability to express themselves playing

MoreGilmour Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - pretty sure you mean "he's" huge.

Nov 26, 2009 - Hmm...discussing linguistic issues with you might turn to be more interesting though I have my doubts...anyway, speaking of languages... I'd like to see you spell in MY language...lol

Nov 26, 2009 - "Little Wing" is played using the unique chord/melody guitar style that Hendrix developed during his early career stints in rhythm and blues bands. In this style, the guitar sounds as though it is playing two parts. This is done by simultaneously playing multiple complementary notes, often parts of chords, and then changing a note within the chord to create a melodic effect.

avazbone Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - Svr plays it too heavy handed. He does not understand the sentiment Jimi was expressing back in the dawn of counter-culture experiences. Blissed out from his appearance at the Monterey Pop Festival, Hendrix brought a delicate touch to this ballad during a 1967 London session. In a mere 145 seconds, he conjured a gossamer reverie. Hendrix played one of his most lyrical solos through a Leslie speaker cabinet (which creates an oscillating sound) and later added glockenspiel to complete the mood.

McGraceland Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - SRV wasn't trying to be Hendrix. Anyone doing a cover should never try to do song like the original, but put their own style and personality into it. I'm confident that SRV's emotion and motivation in playing this song is different than Hendrix and therefore the result will be different as well. Hendrix versions is amazing and invokes a different emotion for me. SRV's is just as amazing in a different way.

avazbone Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - In a mere 145 seconds, he conjured a gossamer reverie. Hendrix played one of his most lyrical solos through a Leslie speaker cabinet (which creates an oscillating sound) SRV tries for about 10 minutes but never quite gets the rhythm of feeling at Jimi got in about 2 minutes. The drums are way to heavy ..... no dynamics. Not jazzy. He misssed the point of the song. srv stripped it of the innocent pure sensual romance the song all about. This is just drugged out cock-rock. hey srv ! ur not jimi

McGraceland Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - You need to quote that entire comment as it was not yours. The same for most of your other comment.

avazbone Says:

Nov 26, 2009 - srv must have lived on a farm ..... he sure knows how to milk a song. listen to the good stuff ! Jimi Hendrix- I Don't Live Today- albert hall london - HISTORIC !
