NoDeity Says:
Oct 10, 2009 - Clearly, they did it with trained animals. There's no way that someone just happened to have a camera crew in all the right places at all the right times to catch the action.

Oct 12, 2009 - I can't stop watching this, I had anyone in my corner, I see this clip as a ...someone...who would care that much for me! Not a mother, not a husband, just someone, a nameless deity that would stand for me, protect me, a fearless god!
fireproofed Says:
Oct 21, 2009 - I love this video. I still tugs at my heart. Even if the animals are trained. (Google Bart the Bear) Bart plays the large bear in this. It's fake down to the syrup used on Douce's (the little bear) face being licked by Bart. It's not easily noticeable, but the log he floats down on never bobs. This is a carefully and artfully planned movie and scenes. Every last stitch is staged and acted. Still love it though.

Nov 16, 2009 - no kidding! why doesn't anyone think of the mountain lion's feelings? he's gotta eat!
variablast Says:
Nov 16, 2009 - Well, if the lion was vegan, and it was a giant turnip's mother that scared it into running away, I guess we'd be having a different conversation.
omegavalerius Says:
Nov 17, 2009 - Its two primate instincts working together that side most of us with the little bear. First is the mammalian care instinct and the other one is the evolved primate tendency to side emotionally with the down trodden or underdog. Both instincts are observed in our closest relative the chimp.
MultiAnshul Says:
Nov 17, 2009 - Luckily the bear got away!

Oct 7, 2009 - Great film indeed! How did they do it? There are fast sequences of shots from very different angles. There must have been atleast 5 or six camermen poised on top of hills, trees, rocks, whatever. How come they were all present at the right moment? You can't stage this kind of thing. Or can you???
