And For 3, this mannequin should be wearing a 28D. Not a 32B. You wear what you measure. 26 ribcage, 26 band, or in my case 30 inch ribcage, 30 inch band hich is snug so i wear a 32. Not a freaking 36. I HATE when ppl give bad bra fitting advice.

Continuing my last comment ... the cup part is right .. measure and subtract the difference between your ribcage and cup measurement. But do NOT add 5 inches, thats ludicrous.

I measure my friend, who is VERY large breasted, and it told her she was a 29 (30) B so we got her one, and she couldn't breathe. Then she tried on her old size which was 26 D and it fit perfectly.. The truth is, according to every specialist i've talked to (I have a weird bra size), that bras stretch 4 inches or more the first time you wear them, so you don't actually add 5 inches.

Jul 14, 2009 - There must be a different method of measuring in the states, because the size she should have come up with was a 30D not 32B. I know the add 4/5 inch rule doesn't always apply, but in this case she measured 26 under bust which is an even number so you add 4 not 5. Which gives you 30 band size. If the bust is 30 it would be an A cup +1 =B +2=c +3=D and so on.

Aug 2, 2009 - What if your band size is 29 and you add 5 which is 34 and then your boob measurement is 32.5 32.5 - 34 you get a -1.5 which means you're between a B and a C? does it matter if its negative or positive? because all the examples are boob - band and not band - boob.

Aug 12, 2009 - i've been told that it woulld be the difference between the band in this case 26 and then the bust 33, the difference is the cup size so in the example it should be a 32F.... i dunno that mannequin is out of proportion haha. i measure 27 band =32 and 31 bust=D, making me a 32D since the difference between 27 and 31 is 4 inches. that's what i've always been told.
