She had a disatrous record deal with Motown after touring with the National Touring Company of the WIZ, as an understudy for the role of Dorothy. Later after a few years recording and touring with Norman Connors, she moved to New York and began singing background vocals for Roberta Flack, Chaka Khan, and singing TV/Radio commercials. Ada Dyer is an incredible vocalist.

Sep 10, 2009 - wow! My parents had every Norman Connors album. I remember singing this one into the back of a brush handle! I am so thankful for my parents taste in music. I am amazed at 29 that I can sing every word to this song and appreciate good music. :)

Oct 13, 2009 - I agree with you. My brother is an aspiring producer and Kanye is his idle! I loved the sample Kanye used for Mos Def's Brown Sugar, and my brother went out and found the original song. He does that with a lot of samples. This song though, is THE best sampled song he's ever found. There's just nothing like it.
