Nov 10, 2009 - I wish Mister Rogers had run for president. Maybe our country wouldn't be in such sad shape today.

Nov 14, 2009 - Ridiculous, it's an urban legend.
Jinggley Says:
Nov 14, 2009 - I dunno if Pastore felt defeated or ashamed in just so much as giving a healthy dose of perspective. He's obviously a good man with the best intentions for the nation in heart; it just becomes easy to lose sight of that loyalty and duty in the face of such big politics. I don't think of it as assault with emotion; it was just naked honest humanism. It's what Rogers offered to the world. Pastore was presented with an honest and simply made case. Not many politicians get that, then or now.
blackdove123 Says:
Nov 14, 2009 - I'm sorry but did that guy just INTERRUPT Mr. Rogers?!
Delta4845 Says:
Nov 15, 2009 - I believe it would be a beautiful day in the neighborhood
nobodyfromnowhere Says:
Nov 17, 2009 - The clarion call of politics is "money." Today, nobody cares about anything but how much it costs. Pastore just wanted to cut the $20 million in half -- imagine what would happen today, without someone like Mr. Rogers; it'd get slashed to zero. We need to show this to the Senate the next time they convene.
bartov Says:
Nov 17, 2009 - Mister Rogers is a saint but he does a have a creepy vibe.
beybladera Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - This guy was the closest thing to Jesus. God bless this man. He really was a saint.
Zatki Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - Mr Rogers told kids that they are special and important just the way they are. Now Disney tells kids You have to be slutty and covered in glitter and caked on makeup to have any worth. But more importantly Rogers was teaching us about REAL LIFE. Shows about jobs and family life, and then a section on make believe that he clearly said was Make Believe. Kids stuff today is just like...a bad acid trip or something. It entertains but doesn't TEACH. Long story short: Rogers did both.
MANSHOTS Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - @Zatki some people internalize fear, like mr. rogers, some people externalize fear like today's disney
scar104 Says:

Nov 10, 2009 - I was trying to think if there was any childrens televison now besides Sesame Street that still had actual people hosting them? I think Fred Rogers made it very personable to each viewer. Very one on one. I think we need more of that today.
