Mar 30, 2009 - Holy crap this song is freakin' aweeeesome.

Apr 4, 2009 - I read David Robinson now owns a restaurant and collects art. He was my favorite, responsible for all the art behind the band. Yeah, they became too poppy after this. They were my first obsession before The Smiths. RIP Ben.

Apr 15, 2009 - I have listened to this album for 12 years and finally got to see the vid now. Nice. I was 3 when this was released.

May 19, 2009 - I love this song! It's been a long time since I hear it. Thanks..

May 21, 2009 - All the members of The Cars have their own unique appeal. Ric for instance, he is the suave one, a hint of (warranted) arrogance which makes me want to know more. Elliot, energetic and cool, ooohh the way he dips those shades. Greg is an adorable cutie with a boyish sense of humour. Benjamin, um let me think. Oh yes he would be the drop dead SEXY one. Finally(my favourite) David, Mr Stylish who is always up to date, and who's hairstyle can determine what year a picture of the band is taken :)

May 22, 2009 - when music videos were worth a hoot! and lovin' it! i had the orange panorama cassette.

May 24, 2009 - I love your take on this band! And I agree with all you say! I sure love this song.. the entire album.. I loved everything up to Shake it Up.. lost interest after that, not sure why. I think Ben was kind of pushed to the side after Shake it Up, maybe, and I didn't enjoy the sound as much.

suzmicmay Says:

May 26, 2009 - That's a shame. Are you tellin' me you didn't get to enjoy the pleasure of Heartbeat City? Oh what a travesty! LOL I hope you have reconnected with The Cars again, or will do soon. Yes there is this ongoing debate of whether Benjamin was being held back and Ric hogging the lead limelight in the later years. To me The Cars are The Cars, five unique individuals contributing their own little piece of magic. I'm happy that you get my little write up above, I do love this band so, so much !!

julieswahn Says:

May 26, 2009 - Funny you should reply! I gave the song "Heartbeat City" listen and loved it.. even added it to my favorites. So it's kind of fun that after all these years I am reconnecting with the band's earlier material PLUS getting into the stuff I pushed aside back then. It was not simply a rejection of this album, it was more that my musical tastes began morphing. We often return to our roots, though :)

May 26, 2009 - ...and check out David's sexy walk at 0:50 grrrlllll

Jun 5, 2009 - I've never seen this video before. It's a hoot! Benjamin looks like a member of Elvis' memphis mafia in this one..lol. The Cars were one of a kind, never to be reproduced. Long live The Cars.

bradominus Says:

Jun 12, 2009 - What an underrated album. If this one had come before 'Candy-O', I think people would've received it differently. The same goes for Catherine Wheel's Ferment vs. Chrome...

drnrg31 Says:

Jul 18, 2009 - This song had a hard core DEVO sound to it.

FirstLandingOnMedusa Says:

Jul 25, 2009 - Ferment and Chrome Both kick serious Arse.. just like Candyo and panorama.. =D

bradominus Says:

Jul 25, 2009 - Gee, what country are you from? It wouldn't be the UK... ;) Yeah man, those first few songs on Side A of Ferment - F***!!! I think the Cars were one of the strongest groups of that era... Just like the Police... Thank God I saw them both in concert...

NotNamedJones Says:

Aug 12, 2009 - cool song and video. I like the album too. its pretty dark for a Cars album.

Aug 14, 2009 - :) Great tune...

Aug 30, 2009 - This is the epitome of New Wave.

Sep 7, 2009 - Nah, I'm from Philly, PA. Heheh...

eggsammichz Says:

Sep 12, 2009 - I read this video was directed by Gerald Casale of DEVO and i immediately looked up this video since Devo is my favorite band and Panorama is my favorite album from The Cars.

dcmichael86 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - Such awesome tunes before they sold out for Chart success. The first 4 albums are wayyy better than Heartbeat City---just my personal opinion. :)

lbruceolson Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - I wasn't aware until now that they did a video for this. Not to step on anyone's feelings, but I thought the Panorama album was dismal compared to the first two. A couple of the tracks are ok, but the general sound of the album and the song arrangements seemed like a big miss to me. That's ok, they bought a lot of love with the first two, they could make a poor album and we still wanted em back.

mecon01 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - Yea.. it seems people who preferred the lighter pop-rock of 'The Cars' and 'Candy-O' had difficulty with the darker, hard-driving beat of 'Panorama'. This one is good for the serious rockin' listener tho'. Even without hit singles, it did do well commercially (#5, Billboard 200).

ep617 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - Saw them when they did the Panorama tour! It was great. Love the CARS, and the 80's too bad I took it for granted, now that Im older
