May 14, 2007 - Good stuff - what time?

Eliseharris Says:

May 14, 2007 - 8.30pm. It's my gig so I get to MC! Expect a mix of material and random nonsense.

Rennelgale Says:

May 14, 2007 - Thanks - I will pop along

Urgelt Says:

May 14, 2007 - Aloe is magical stuff. It's especially useful for mild burns, sunburns, and scar prevention in the event of skin damage. I think "screechiness" in moderation isn't a bad thing - a way to emphasize the absurdity of your subject, which is how you used it. One must not dwell in the upper registers too much, of course, or it loses its punch.

speedcrayzy Says:

May 15, 2007 - I eat aloe, even tho' it's bitter. My mum takes aloe pills for dibatees. There is also aloe juice, less bitter than fresh gel.

SouthAmericanGuy Says:

Aug 4, 2007 - Cool video. Always giving out new information to us =) That's why I subscribed after watching your third video! And yeah the Aloe Vera plant is excelent! I should get hold of some to treat my sun burns. I remember my mum used to use it whenever I got sunburnt when I was younger. I have to say that it does not feel very nice on the burnt skin as it absrbs it. Although a fan will take care of the itching sensation. From what I can remember it was quite a bit.

Eliseharris Says:

Aug 6, 2007 - Aloe is great - though I am afraid to break off too many leaves because then the plant might die!

SouthAmericanGuy Says:

Aug 6, 2007 - I'm not sure about that but it might so yeah. I always broke them off when i was little. Lol. But then again, the plant was huge and had lots of leaves. So it wasn't a problem. But yeah. Be caring.

Dec 17, 2008 - Nice vid! I received a gal. of 'Aloe Vera'from my mom. She gave it to me as a present because I'm trying to become more health conscious. I just took 2 to 8 ounces of this stuff today. How long will it take until I feel the health benefits? Month?

Eliseharris Says:

Dec 18, 2008 - Well it should have a little bit of a benefit quite soon, though I think you have to take it regularly. I tend to use it more as a skin salve.

Eliseharris Says:

Dec 18, 2008 - Yes, still alive. it has multiplied into many smaller aloe vera now though.

TheLangdigaun Says:

Jun 23, 2009 - i heard some of the aloe vera has bitter taste some is natural. The great yoga teacher Baba Ramdev said bitter aloe vera is not for enternal use. so, i tried to by aloe leaf in the market here in Hong Kong tasted its all are bitter taste. can somebody knows which types of aloe is good to drink.

Eliseharris Says:

Jun 23, 2009 - The plant in this video is a 'sweet aloe' and is edible. You can get many aloe vera drinks in the UK but I don't know about Hong Kong - though there are some tasty aloe vera drinks I have bought in Chinese supermarkets over here.

cherri7 Says:

Jun 27, 2009 - It is good for hair and scalp too.The gel has to be blended to use it on the hair....I just got a plant recently from someone and the leafs are so small.I'm going to grow more of them......

cherri7 Says:

Jun 27, 2009 - No i don't think it would die.I cut off about 10 leafs because some of the leafs were half dead.Few weeks later more leafs appear......
