Oct 6, 2009 - Very nice systems, shame that true audiophile equipment caters to such a small niche of people (hence increasing the cost of final product because of small production runs / user base). It's all about the music really, that's what being a true audiophile is about, not listening to the characteristics of individual pieces of electronic equipment or accesories. I can't afford any of that stuff yet, untill then my Marantz equip with Bowers Wilkins speakers sure sounds lovely to me ;-)

Oct 18, 2009 - Wonderful video! I especially liked the opening, when the gentleman was telling the story of how it all started. I was ten when the audiophile bug bit me. I blame it on the Beatles. (the pun was completely unintentional)

Oct 30, 2009 - It's sad to see people who don't know anything about electrical engineering or acoustics try to explain audio. "The sound is 50% electricity." The sound is 0% electricity. The sound is created by a transducer, which is driven by electrical current, most often. "The rack is 30% of the sound." "The crystal is for luck." I am afraid to call myself an audiophile because of the stigma of ignorance and irrationality that surrounds that term. These people are wasting money on overpriced junk.

Oct 31, 2009 - WOW, the stupidity level of this ppl amazes me. How can one spend such ridiculous amounts of money in old crap that should be on museums? Next time there will be people selling their children to restore viking ships because "sailing is done in wood" or some bull$hit

Nov 1, 2009 - I'm tempted to go buy thrift store speaker cables, draw up some awesome packaging, and try to sell them for a hundred dollars a foot. Because you know as well as I do that there will be some suckers out there willing to buy - not *despite* the price tag, but *because of it*.

Nov 2, 2009 - what he means is that to get the full potential of your system you need clear power and the correct voltage...all the time.try to use in bridge mode to pairs of cello performances amps or 4 gryphon antylions mono blocks, without the correct amount of power from mains outlet...

Nov 11, 2009 - Those who think they buy it to show off are stupid , cause nobody gets impressed, they buy it cause they want it. Go mess with people buying cars and watches instead.

Nov 20, 2009 - PHENOMENAL documentary! While it's true that more money buys you better sounding audio, you DON'T need to spend ungodly amounts to have a great sounding system. Magnepan MMG speakers run around 600 bucks, and sound utterly amazing! They can take your breath away, even with inexpensive electronics.
