Oct 21, 2009 - Well, first of all it is more important that the AOL abuse gets coverage. Sure its sad that a litle girl dies, but what help is it to anybody if people who didn't knew her know about her death? On the other hand, AOL will get much public presure to better themselves because of this coverage. And lastly, people of all ages die. You cant report on all of them so only special cases get attention. If schoolbuses needed extra safety measures you might have had a point.

Oct 26, 2009 - I just spent the last 2 months trying to get through to level 2 support after explaining the MTU settings on my router are fucked because of AOL.they make me go through the routine everytime of shutting off everything even after i tell them i have done it all 15 times. they then hang up on me everytime. .

Oct 29, 2009 - The AOL rep asked if he had high speed, Vincent said he had high-speed internet for years, and hadn't been using his AOL account, but the AOL rep could see that this was not the case. The AOL rep was clearly trying to save an idiot named Vincent from making a huge mistake by canceling his account, thinking he had high-speed when he clearly didn't. Its not like it matters though.. AOL SUCKS! XD

Nov 3, 2009 - AOL needs to rethink thier marketing plan. They don't pick thier battles and as a result no one is ever going to recommend them to thier friends espically after this. I also kind of feel sorry for the rep. I mean the higer ups act like this was some random guy doing his own thing, but you know he was just doing what he was trained to do.

Nov 18, 2009 - This is not only AOL call centre staff. I tried to cancel a bank account I never used and somehow got duped into opening another I also didn't want. I actually said 'just send me the info and I'll look at it' but this was apparently acceptance of the contract! I ended up owing them money for standard O/D and admin charges even tho I never actually used the account!

Nov 22, 2009 - The AOL Rep was doing what he was hired to do. The department is called "Saves" and their job is to save accounts. I did this job for two months before I quit. It's a horrible job. I can almost guarantee that the employee was not fired. He was doing what he is expected to do. If he had just cancelled the account without spending at least 3 minutes trying to "save" the it he would have been reprimanded. Mr. Ferrari did the right thing. Stay calm and keep repeating that you want to cancel.

Oct 19, 2009 - That's not nearly as bad as what I went through with them.I purchased a years worth of aol as a birthday present once. Used a temp CC, told AOL all the details that it was a 1 time payment, etc. 2 years later or so, my buddy cancelled his account. Shortly after that *I* get a collections agency notice in the mail regarding HIS account. Get this, the collection they were after was for payment of the NEXT year (was still 2mo away). It was surprisingly difficult to correct as well. AOL is THICK!
