Oct 15, 2009 - The Shining is indeed a very poor movie.

Cwall96 Says:

Oct 15, 2009 - The Shining a very poor movie??? What are you talking about?? The Shining is a great movie and represents horror in many many ways

13Elphaba13 Says:

Oct 15, 2009 - I know isnt it always like that? The most successful pieces of work are always at first seen as failures and the creators always won't think they will succeed.

Redrum326 Says:

Oct 18, 2009 - Oh my god are you kidding? lol. God I love ''The Shinning'' it's a classic! But owell, each to his own I suppose.

Oct 19, 2009 - Such a legendary story about how Carrie was saved.

GiantsSB2010 Says:

Oct 27, 2009 - people who say that The Shining was a bad movie are true King fans, because they know how much Kubrick made his own version, and not Kings book version.

Oct 31, 2009 - Good God man, stop drinking and pull over, you're not making sense.

indigo2011 Says:

Nov 1, 2009 - The 1997 version of The Shining was the best terror movie I have seen.

pugilistofpower Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - The Shining's a great movie. Some people get upset that it's not the same as the book.. but it's a well established fact now that films never live up to the book when directors try to copy them. Kubrick did a great job putting it on film and his use of light in that movie is the best I've seen.

JiubLink Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - The movie itself was incredible tho'. People often underrate the depth and subliminal detail in that movie.

JiubLink Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - A poor adaptation maybe, but not a poor movie. The depth kubrick went into was clearly wasted on some.

lollilolli96 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - I sort of agree with King about the Shining movie. The movie itself was good, but wasn't explained enough. For those that never had read the novel, it was confusing. It is one hell of a book though.

Emyrsaurus Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - heya sexy :] asl?

sophieliz1990 Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - The book to The Shining is good, and the film isn't bad. But I've seen better adaptations of King's books. For example: Stand by Me, Needful Things, Storm of the Century, Salem's Lot, The Stand and The Green Mile.

kusta9 Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - The Shining is the best horror movie with The Thing, Jaws, Omen, but The Shining is great movie in my top 10 movie all time

Nov 21, 2009 - Stephen King really does have a point, that creative writing can't be "taught". I think it's something that people just have a natural talent for...I've been writing since I was in kindergarden (needless to say they were picture books then), and I'm currently working on what I hope to be my debut novel. But, see, I don't have any talent with sports or talking to people...I'm what you might call wierd.
