Nov 20, 2009 - You can check it yourself by copy paste it in google search secondly i recommend reading the bible and i mean ACTUALLY reading it not just speed reading or just flatering around a bit
moneyall Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - yer just like those prediction that the world was gonna end and Armageddon was coming? Don;t fucking kid me, what a fuken pathetic excuse for a belief.
drumrnva Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - Bad example. Dickens, Melville, and Twain all clearly existed, as attested by people who spoke to them, broke bread with them, etc. They make no claims about afterlife or soul. Nor do they declare that we have a choice to a)accept a bloody human sacrifice as vicarious atonement or b)suffer for all of eternity.
themightyjoseph Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - the dead sea scrolls only prove the torah to be the same even though its not 100% same, the gospel(jesus' book) has not bin proved to be the same
themightyjoseph Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - yes it is natural DOESNT MEAN ITS RITE OR GOOD OR OK but it is natural EVERYTHING IS NATURAL because it exists, get it? its in nature for people or animals or other things to kill or steel or other things EVERYTHING that we do or think is natural other wise it wouldnt exist
MsHolydiver Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - So you recommend me actually reading the Bible, which is something I already do and have done, since a young age, but you can't directly give me any references to read?? I have to copy and paste. that doesn't make too much sense.
MsHolydiver Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - No...see, Prophets in the Bible predicted things that would happen and they did happen exactly the way they were predicted. The end of the world can't be properly predicted by anyone because no one knows when the world is going to end. Plenty of people have been predicting the world's end and not one person was ever right about it so far, obviously. Those people predicting the world's end aren't Prophets, which means they aren't the ones I believe.
MsHolydiver Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - If it was in our nature to kill and steal and rape and all of those things, then why are there laws to punish people that commit those "crimes"? think about that...it's not natural.
MsHolydiver Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - You can talk to almost any psychologist and they're most likely going to tell you that not all things are natural just because they exist. There are different kinds of emotions that everyone was born with, but if you take any one emotion to the exxtreme it becomes a problem. You can be angry about something, but when you decide to go and shoot somebody because you're angry at them, that's a problem. You can love, but if you become obsessed, that's a problem because it is too extreme.
moneyall Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - So you have read the bible yet your too stupid to understand it? Shows your ignorance and lack of intelligence,
moneyall Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - You fucken fail at logic, You can bend shit anyway you like but the facts are there. Your logical judgment is obviously skewed so and it is also obvious that you are mentally challenged. i suggest you go put a flare barrel to your head ad pull that trigger that will get you closer to your magic man.
MsHolydiver Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - How do you suppose I fail at logic? And how can you say i bend things? I'd like for you to point out EXACTLY what i bended and HOW I did, as well. And I'll just disregard you're second comment like i always do with unecessary attempts to insult me. God has a wonderful purpose for me being on earth, so i won't risk it for suicide :)
MsHolydiver Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - NO, the complete opposite. I've read the Bible and I understand a lot more than someone (like the narrarator of this video) who just picks some verses out of the Bible to talk about with a biased opinion of what they mean..with no obvious interpretation besides a literal one that wasn't even supposed to be taken as such.
MsHolydiver Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - He doesn't even give any background to the verses he reads either. So right away, you don't know the Setting, the Conflict, or the Point of View that is needed to understand any type of literature that you read.
moneyall Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - LOL at the hypocrisy, You calling someone bias? Why don;t you kill yourself now? Your belief and opinion is so skewed that there is no angle big enough to trigonometryly judge it with. You fail at the simplest logic, learn reading comprehension and take my advice on the flare barrel.
testigokenly Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - let's review// you are taking scripture out of context..
MsHolydiver Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Do you disagree that his opinion is biased?
MsHolydiver Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Logic: If the context of the verses supplied shouldn't be taken as a literal meaning, they should be taken as a figurative one.
moneyall Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - No, i believe your a fucking moron and the world would be a better place without you. I don't care what his opinion is, i just find your accusation of someone else being bias laughable . What a fucken joke you are for humanity.
moneyall Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Dumb bias mother fucker: MsHolydickweed
moneyall Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - Yer cause its so fucken hard to understand that rape, slavery and genocide is wrong. /falce palm
garethac81 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - By all means, tell us why the verses in which Jesus tells people to love their enemies, sell their possessions, hate their family, cut off their hands, gouge out their eyes and drink poison are...taken out of context. I for one would LOVE to hear you try and explain how Jesus "didn't really mean" any of those instructions.
garethac81 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - You can't prove a negative. The fact that you are ignorant of such a basic, long-established principle of logic doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Want to know how it works? Watch this: What evidence do you have that there isn't a microscopic teapot orbiting the sun? None? Well, there must be one, then. Alternatively, since there is no evidence to suggest there IS such a teapot, we can safely conclude it doesn't exist. Welcome to the world of logic. What kept you so long?
garethac81 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - MetalguitarlessonsUK quoted from the Bible, Timothy 2:12: "I do not permit a woman to teach or have authority over a man, she must be silent." He then asked if this was metaphorical. MsHolydiver replied: "No, that's not a metaphor..." Therefore, I invite all the men on this forum to tell MsHolyDiver to shut the hell up. As a lowly female, she will know to obey, as taught by Jesus "That's not what a woman's mouth is for" Christ. :)

LukeL007 Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - The Dead Sea Scrolls also contained writings from a sect that was in Qumran at the time. You are also confusing things. The people of Qumran would have known about and rejected Jesus so they would not even count him as a Messiah. The debate is whether it says two or three. We do know that it says the first Messiah would be one of rejection and suffering, while the 2nd would bring peace. This matches the 2nd coming FWIW
