Oct 21, 2009 - Some people do 'e' with the fingers above the thumb and not resting on top of it. I think it is preference. I like it touching the thumb so it doesn't look like a 'c' from a distance. :-)

beeglec13 Says:

Oct 27, 2009 - every person has their own way of signing, it's their slang. E has the basic sign of what is shown in this video, depending on what letter before or after E detirmines how you sign it. Sometimes your fingertips touch your thumb, then again it doesn't. It depends on the letters before and after the E.

beeglec13 Says:

Oct 27, 2009 - I am in ASL 1 right now. It is normal for your brain and fingers doing opposite things, that will eventually disappear with practice. Yet, when your tired or your hand is tired, they still do not work together. Also, letters like P and O in this video are sideways to show proper form of the letter, so always keep your palm facing who your fingerspelling to!!! Good luck!!!

Nov 23, 2009 - Sorry but "Z" is using your PINKY TO MAKE A "Z" I KNOW BECAUSE IM TAKING SIGN LANGUAGE

SmartHandsCA Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - I think some people may do it that way but many just use the index finger. Is your teacher Deaf? If so, ask him/her.

ilyuafvr Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - I've never seen z done with the pinky just with the index finger. Perhaps it is a regional variation. Plus, if you are just learning, don't be so quick to call out other people's signs as wrong since most words have various different signs that apply to them. You may also see that even if someone uses the sign you learned they may still sign it a bit differently this is just something that you will have to adjust to since not everyone signs the same.

PookeyBabyGirl Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - I love this. I listened to it over 5 times!
