One of the biggest features of Diablo is gaining loot and new weapons to make the player's character stronger, and since a monk's main weapon is his fists that makes it pretty much pointless for them to gain any loot... This game's graphics are built in such a way that the camera is angled above from the side of the character when playing.. This means: If the camera isnt as close as it is angled in this movie, the graphics are going to look much better. And to you pettdog78, they use staves.. They can preform their abilities without them, but are also far less powerful without them.

Nov 14, 2009 - It's pretty obvious that Blizz will drop some brass knuckles or other such "Fist Weapons" in the game. That doesn't make the concept any less cheesy. And of course staves are nice, however they obviously have suggested the monk does his greatest damage with his fists. So why use a stave if it's gonna handicap your dps? As for the rest thats easy. Barbarian = Warrior Wizard = Mage Witch Doctor = Shaman(Too a lesser degree) So the other classes are on WoW, just abit different.
