Feb 29, 2008 - I love him. Seriously.
ASXEY Says:
Mar 6, 2008 - His Dark Materials supercedes any other literary piece I have read and ever will read. Fact!. I find myself longing for a life as exciting, so full. For me to feel that way, so emotionally attached, has never happened before to me, its a strange yet empty feeling as a realisation dawns on me that i have finished for now. I long for a continuation as it is like a drug and i am already, having finished my first read(March 6th 2008) suffering withdrawal sympton again. I NEED TO BE BACK THERE SOON!

Mar 19, 2008 - Have you ever heard of people paying thousands for an art piece that was painted by a monkey?..well its happen. That doesn't mean the monkey is an artist does it? no...award winning author? people get awards for stuffing their mouths with hot dogs..so what. Fan base? Hey their are people who still like peewee herman. All that means nothing..its weak.
sketchy2 Says:
Mar 31, 2008 - You do realize the entire point of the series that this man has written was to promote the discovery of your own truths rather than having to listen to the dogma and oppression of whatever current regime it is? He's ADVOCATING decision.
sketchy2 Says:
Mar 31, 2008 - If he's not married right now, he at least was at one point. Her name is/was Judith Speller.
saulgenesisfan Says:
Apr 4, 2008 - I agree with you but the Christian writers Kurt Bruner and Jim Ware have both said that they see HDM as a tribute to the Christian God. Also, the current Archbishop of Canterbury is a fan and has suggested that Pullman's work becomes part of standard R.E lessons in school, so Christians can't complain that much.
saulgenesisfan Says:
Apr 4, 2008 - I've read the book, it's brilliant!

May 14, 2008 - I just finished The Amber Spyglass and have to say i truly enjoyed the whole Trilogy in a way I enjoy few books. The only thing souring this is the constant petty debates surrounding it. I know many Christians, and no two see god the same way, a persons belief is more complex than his religion and more complex than a piece of media, no matter how influential.
wideangle2007 Says:
May 30, 2008 - omg i finished The Amber Spyglass as well and i have to agree that this trilogy is the best series of books i've read in a long time. I try not to take notice of all the debates going around
