Sep 4, 2009 - great song. Perhaps Mike Oldfield's Man in the Rain (TB3) is a cover version of this track ? Very catchy

Oct 4, 2009 - I've never heard this before. (I'm getting a little old I guess.) I only know Maggie Reilly from 'Moonlight Shadow'. But what a great voice! Where was she in the early '70s?

Oct 29, 2009 - Love your nickname. :-) Both Maggie's and Mike's Man in the Rain lean to some extent on Moonlight Shadows. Mike's MITR much more so than Maggie's, which has only subtle similarities. Maggie's solo CD's show an Oldfield influence in every few songs, even though he was not involved in them. Maggie's MITR sounds a lot like '80's Oldfield+Reilly pop albums in general, same style. Mike's MITR borrows the style, bassline and buildup from Moonlight Shadow, almost like a (very good) remake.
Nicolasherdwick Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - Woops. Read that "man in the rain"/MITR as "tears in the rain"/TITR where Maggie is concerned. had a minor mental short circuit...

Nov 22, 2009 - Quite superb. I've always loved Maggie's voice -- and agree with Nicolas -- much of her solo work has heavey Mike Oldfield influences, but that's no bad thing, by any means. Of all the vocalists who worked with Mike, I think Maggie showed herself to be most attuned to his music.
