It's never fought for independence more than othe rregions and doesn't have such an incredible cultural difference. Basque nationalism began around the XIX century, as part of the Romantic movement, and it's entirely made-up. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, perhaps you should research before making opinions on a topic).
