May 1, 2009 - what year are you at Julliard?
Kamoamoa Says:
May 7, 2009 - "All I had was my C trumpet. While it was a scary experience to play by memory and transposing, I have to admit, it sort-of worked on C trumpet better than I thought it would... besides the trills of course." What are you talking about? Great job! And, would I expect anything less from a Julliard trumpeter? Absolutely not! Nicely done!!!

May 10, 2009 - You're too modest. I wouldn't expect anything less of a Juilliard grad... Great Job!

May 27, 2009 - Great tone! What c trumpet and mouthpiece do you use? I play on a c Bach Strad. and a 3c mouthpiece.

Jun 9, 2009 - Wow. Transposing by memory. That's amazing. And even with the awkward intervals (seeing as its a C trumpet) he played it almost flawlessly...

Jun 20, 2009 - This is brilliant! You transposed the whole thing on the spot, and played it that perfectly? You're my hero dude.
theguitarstrumpet Says:
Jul 3, 2009 - he is playing a C trumpet but the concerto was originally written for the Eb trumpet.
berethor014 Says:
Jul 31, 2009 - I think my jaw just fell on the floor... I play the trumpet. And some say that I play well... (I think their opinion is a little bias but w/e. ANYHOW the fact that u transposed all of that on the spot, plus not using the horn that u would have preferred... the least i can say is I'm impressed.
oilikepepsi Says:
Jul 31, 2009 - Memory? He prepared the piece on C-Trumpet and is clearly reading the music in front of him. If it were memorized... he wouldn't need the music. Why he chose to play it on C is beyond me. I attest though...always more fun transposing anything.
oilikepepsi Says:
Jul 31, 2009 - I was also at that service and know damn well he prepared this piece...AND he requested to play this well before the service. I don't understand why he claims that it was "last minute" or "memorized" when both are untrue. Maybe too much pride?
cmc59 Says:
Jul 31, 2009 - thanks for watching oilikepsi, but please don't make erroneous claims
berethor014 Says:
Aug 8, 2009 - oh missunderstood a precious comment. I do see the music.
jazzmangiant Says:
Aug 14, 2009 - Whether or not you prepared this transposition or was reading the music, I don't care. You still played it very very well. Beautiful tone!

Sep 30, 2009 - I like how you said you were at the service...then you cuss... then you just hate. this is why people hate fake christians. do something decent.. nice transposing

TheCoventrykid Says:
Oct 24, 2009 - Great sound on that c trumpet, pity about the organist was he transposing as well or did the organ have a few wrong notes built into it .
regztem7music Says:
Oct 31, 2009 - Nice! I noticed that you tongued some licks where I usually hear it slurred (such as in the main melody -- beats 34 of the 3rd bar). Is it written that way in your music, or was that a personal choice? Thanks! Sounds great.
