Jun 30, 2009 - Seconded.

masael255 Says:

Jun 30, 2009 - I agree. This is, perhaps, most apparent in his rendition of the Tchaikovsky (MVMT III). His rendition is so subdued and "mellow" for the aggression and power in the piece.

masael255 Says:

Jun 30, 2009 - I am not a fan of Bell at all but what you say is true. One can not deny that Bell has helped inspire more and more youthful violinists. Similar with violinists like Andre Rieu. Hopefully critics are critiquing only the sound of the musician and not the effect of these individuals.

masael255 Says:

Jun 30, 2009 - It is kind of funny, isn't it? No matter what medium people go up in arms about their opinions. Even if it is the "elite classical music". I mean just look at how Rieu is treated in the classical, violinist community.

Jun 30, 2009 - That was something, both the music and Joshua. Wow the second half is capturing. So very dynamic and such an exellent player.
