Nov 8, 2008 - My friend's friend made a film which won in a film festival and all he used was a handycam and pirated software to edit it. Check "Todo Todo Teros" on Google.

Nov 11, 2008 - In short, To become an indie filmaker is to be the guy who likes other guys. Brokeback mountain did nothing short of piss off 500,000 People in the great state of wyoming. Aperantly those weren't the contacts you were making.
RRTS666 Says:
Nov 12, 2008 - Hmmmm My sister has that same exact shirt... lol wow awkward, why dose he believe the shit he says? I mean I know the obvious shit he says, but the rest is crap.he knows nothing about the subject that is spewing out his ass.
tamsin23 Says:
Nov 12, 2008 - Does he ever tell us what his credentials are? It's one thing to become an indie film producer; it's another thing ENTIRELY to become a *successful* indie film producer. For all I know, he could be just as qualified as that guy who teaches all those seminars on how to sell your screenplay even though he himself has never sold a screenplay...

Dec 6, 2008 - I write songs and I want to get them on mivies and TV. I know I need some exprince before I can have people take me seriously. Where can I find indie Filmmaker?
valar567 Says:
Dec 27, 2008 - you have NO idea what you're talking about do you?
NellBrent Says:
Feb 3, 2009 - I'm wondering how you can have contacts in the industry if you're starting from scratch. Obviously, another way to make it to producing work, is by starting small scale and making a name by working as *whatever* on short films and documentaries. Then you can get into the festivals and meet the people.

May 7, 2009 - You sound like someone who enjoys hearing themselves talk not someone who done any of these things. Give concrete examples. Go out and talk to people is not advice.
DevinNegreteFilms Says:
May 25, 2009 - your cousin is a dumb nigger
azraelsgrave Says:
Jun 22, 2009 - @ Bum4life12345 Because with an intel mac you can use linux, windows, and mac. Not to mention macs have one of the fastest hardware architectures around. Meaning even windows runs faster when run on it =).
azraelsgrave Says:
Jun 22, 2009 - @ expertvillage While I do say you did try. You failed sadly. Given the fact you defined what is IS to be a indie filmmaker. Not how to BECOME one. There is a fine line between the "is" and the "become", of a indie filmmaker. For example how to become would have included what software ranges one may use. Hardware one may use. Techniques in the filming that will help. Especially those that will help cut costs. And so on. None of these points or even similar did you cover.
azraelsgrave Says:
Jun 22, 2009 - In short this is just a generic "is" commentary. Which is not helpful at all to an indie producer. Because if you have to be told what "is" a indie producer. When you looking to become one. Then it might not be the profession for you.

Sep 13, 2009 - Well okay, but don't cry when you wonder why your not working because you didn't network. The movie industry is all about networking...
vmtz2001 Says:
Nov 19, 2009 - @jayinnc21 I suspect you don't know the first thing about movie producing. He gave a pretty good overview of the field. I've worked on over 8 feature movies as a PA. So, I know.
