Sep 5, 2009 - Yeah... So glad I was alive in this time period of the history of the universe. Wish the '80s could have lasted for eternity... Well, I guess now they do in the land of youtube...

Sep 21, 2009 - I was born in 1945 so my life is nearing the finish line, but I must say I feel extremely blessed to have been exposed to music from a very age. Everything from Bing Crosby to Elvis, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, all types of Blues, Ray Charles, the Doo Wop era, Motown, The Beatles, Woodstock, Jimi Hendrix, Doobie Bros. Steely Dan, and all the other great songs of the 70's by all means the 80's, and even today, if you look hard enough, there is still good music out there. John Mayer for example

Sep 24, 2009 - I'm 34 and I love this song! I have brothers and sisters who grew up in the 80's, but I have to say that it's still the best decade ever! I don't remember ever being unsage anywhere. Especially going to the skating rink with my brother and sister. It sad b/c I can't even send my kids anywhere by themselves now-a-days.

tomcatfranks Says:

Sep 29, 2009 - I know!! I wished I wouldv'e taken more pictures back then, esp. of just people at malls and places as they sported the outrageous fashions of the day.

Oct 7, 2009 - today's songs, (as well as movies!!) seem to miss out on the simple. everything has to be computer animated, or over done! (ex. todays cartoons just stink on ice) My kids, and former step kids grew up on this stuff!!!! It's what I showed them- it's now what they love. I love the 80's!!

falldownhard Says:

Oct 7, 2009 - This song is so intense and profound in its dark simplicity. Few songs are truly "haunting" and this one is. Sometimes I can't listen to it because it puts me in too dark a mood for some reason, but the paradox is that's exactly why I love it so much. I was 19 when this came out, probably part of the reason it gets to me too much now. Lost innocence.

waterfordbum89 Says:

Oct 10, 2009 - i kinda agree with falldownhard. for me though it reminds me of the 80's. no responsibilities, no stress, just having to deal with my life and no one elses. i wasnt married yet, my kids werent around yet. living in california doing my thing.

Chanelm007 Says:

Oct 13, 2009 - She is really saying all in this song sit and really listen to the words! It is really haunting!

UandMeKid Says:

Oct 27, 2009 - Truly one of the last great ballads of the'80's. Soon those atrocious "power ballads" would pollute the airwaves. But this is music and it speaks about the human condition. I was 12 when this was a hit and loved it even then, but now as an adult I can relate to the lyrics deeply.

totallygonegearhead Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - I agree with the other posts here, I've always liked this song and The Motels, I just wish I hadn't been such a music snob in the eighties, the good thing is that now, I do listen to a lot of the stuff I wouldn't have back then. Older and wiser I guess.

Bonedaddy500 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - This was one of the first videos played on MTV back when MTV didn't even run commercials just music videos and VDJs. If you were watching this back then the next video could have been StrayCAts, or Billy Idol, Judus PRiests. We would leave MTV on for hours. I liked the MOtels then and still do. I think I have their cassett laying around somewhere

86lenny Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - You're so right ! I miss those days !

Nov 22, 2009 - WOW...LOVE THIS SONG,THE 80S ROCK!

bigjim10011 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - it's amazing the rush of past feelings and emotions these songs bring back. i can actually feel the adolescent joy, peace, security i felt as a young teen when i first heard this song. it's a shame the selfishness of divorce had to destroy that fragile innocence.

Anthony11598 Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - i was like 8 when mtv came out and me and my cousins would watch it for hours, awesome artists and tunes and videos would come out of no where it was awesome, the videos and music now are horrid
