I think that mary had a good way of keeping the croud interested and flo had a great voice, it was diane who was givin all the oppertunities in the world to show off her talent. Thats why flo had to shop around to get a record deal but she didn't make good financial decisions and became a little depressed and so she hit the bottle day after day and she parished. They never let mary or flo have a solo. Diane was always given the moment to shine.

Sep 23, 2009 - That's not entirely true. In terms of an actual solo on a recording...you are correct. Flo nor Mary were never allowed to do lead. But as far as live performances, there were a few where Mary was allowed to sing lead. They are here on YouTube. Mary sang lead to "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" during a medley that included "Love Child". I know that performance is still on here.
