Ideologically, the idea that the government has control over the way you live your life should be in direct opposition. Understandably, libertarianism is a far superior ideology, but today's conservatives aren't really conservative. Arguably the most influential conservative of the last 60 years, Buckley, was opposed to the drug war.

The people of MPP, however, believe that the "Tea Party Movement" is supportive of legalization, I hope that is true. It isn't about the party's either. Obama appointed a hard liner as Drug Czar. Gil Kerlikowske recently did an interview with Fox Business that every Obama supporter should see. There is no "change" there.
