Oct 1, 2009 - Totally agree with u, mate. It's just the same with Nightwish: they've changed the vocal and now it sounds different... I must say that I love old Nightwish and I can't stand Anette's voice singing the old Nightwish song. With that I'm not trying to say what is better, old or new... just different. But ToT or NW fans as me dislikes the new path which these bands took. There's no comparison, just disgustingly different! P.S: It's written with no offense intention!

These bands experimenting with different genres I believe are necessary (even thought I don`t like the direction that many great bands took).plus i think it gets tiring to play the same kind of music time and time again. Even mature bands need to explore and grow. I do respect for example empyrium which ended after the members felt like they accomplished what they wanted with their music and needed to move on to new concepts and projects.

The first bands I've listened were Nightwish (Wishmaster album, the best one) and Theatre of Tragedy (Velvet darkness they fear), and there's no comparison with the new singles. Is sad to listen "Wishmaster"'s song, modified 'cause Annete can't sing that. But Tarja and Liv Kristin, in my opinion, they made a great job in solo :D
