A Core i5 will run you $200 normally, a decent motherboard will run you ~$150, 4GB of DDR3 RAM @ 1600MHz is currently at $74, a decent case can go for $30, a Radeon 4830 will go for ~$100. Add or re-use a few minor things from older computers (PSU, input drives, etc.) and you have yourself a new computer. This particular example comes out to $554 but that's without shopping around and without getting great deals (though the RAM is decently priced). Black Friday is only 3 days away....
