Nov 24, 2009 - hendrix is only famous for playing the guitar that well left handed. He doesnt really play as great as many others. Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhodes, etc.
fontaneroargento Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - This guy is making love to his guitar
deathwalkingterror31 Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - I think you're very mistaken. That ain't why he's famous, people just learn that after hearing the guy play and always say it cause it's a kinda cool fact. The other guitarists you mention are great though but I just disagree with your comment on Hendrix but then what does my opinion matter? I'm just a stranger, more than likely on the opposite side of the world to yourself, who has no relevance in your life at all.
deathwalkingterror31 Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - Anyone think it's unfair he plays that well along with having a amazing blues voice? lol

Nov 24, 2009 - anyone know when this was filmed? was it before or after his clean up?
csi2448 Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - 1983, 3 years before he cleaned up
Geepsterr Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - MAYBE, he doesn't on some plain play as technically clean nor fast but Hendrix expanded the lexicon of riffs and sounds more than any of the people you mentioned with the possible exception of EVH. Certainly as we speak under SRVs video we must recognize that in any SRV solo he won't go 30 seconds without quoting Hendrix .
davidhart1313 Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - Simply the best. Hendrix was a stud on the guitar too but Stevie has the whole package. Equal guitar skills to Jimi but much better bluesu voice. The Real Deal!
Cleofizoid Says:
Nov 24, 2009 - I do love me some SRV, oh and believe me when I say, Leroy loves him some Jimi. I was haze grey and under way when I 1st heard of this guy. Leroy laid back and thought to himself, "This guy's been doing some sirius Jimi listening". Didn't really know the fame he was gaining in the States at the time...just liked his ear towards Jimi, and the fact he was from Tejas!
oakfan3 Says:
Nov 25, 2009 - Geepster your obviously a huge Hendrix fan, I am as well. I don't understand why it's such a big deal to you to come into a SRV page though and try an take away from what he does. Obviously SRV was a bigger fan of Jimi than any of us, of course he will "quote" him. It seems like you would appreciate the fact that other musicians have a large amount of respect for Hendrix.
