Nov 5, 2009 - Also, I think the majority of religious people aren't trying to pollute humanity's collective knowledge (though arguably some perhaps are), they're just mislead and indoctrinated. I think to an extent we've actually evolved to have the tribe mentality and a social conscience as instincts. God is just a psychological manifestation of this evolutionary programing. We didn't evolve to survive in the world which we live in today, but rather much harsher and isolated conditions.

Petrionvitunkomea Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - Nice wief bro...

ianenderson Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - part 1) I offered my criticism of your debating skills however I certainly don't feel that he won or you lost. Obviously Comfort is a fool. Clearly the opposite is true of you. You're seemingly a smart guy. From what I've seen of you on here personality wise you seem very passive. Kind of unwilling to "fight". Respectable sure.....but it leaves room for the other side to say your views are weak. Hence another victory for Jesus!!.....

ianenderson Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - part 2) Maybe he/they saw that in you and that's why he/they were willing to debate you in the first place. Usually these people avoid scrutiny as much as possible. Of course this is just my little theory. Regardless you have my respect as a man of science and reason......and what a cool opportunity to kick some religious ass in public.

seacoastofbohemia Says:

Nov 6, 2009 - I think you did quite well. Articulate and assertive. Not aggressive or rude, but quite self confident. Congratulations!

esantipapa Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - TF00T... GOOD JOB. You were very respectful and honest... and gave him latitude for spewing nonsense. I think it was a success for you. As a atheist (and Pearlist) you are doing a service to humanity with your ability to understand other points of view and respond, show patience for religious morons and display scientific prowess through structured (albeit stuttered) dialog. Please continue doing your thing unhindered by the naysayers. I am impressed by your growth as a speaker. Cheers!

leet3lite Says:

Nov 10, 2009 - Your summary was an excellent debrief on the talk. Ray really did show himself up on his absurd beliefs on several occasions. On debating technical points, I think you "won" outright, but then again creationists would probably think the same about Ray. Different perspectives. I was only disappointed when Ray offered up morality to you on a platter by mentioning pedophilia - which is not banned or even slightly looked down upon in the bible - and you didn't call him on that.

Goron1988 Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - Didn't enjoy the vista enough . I think you did quite well by the sounds of it !

zacuum Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - You were very respectful debating against a man like Comfort, who once in a while may need knowledge shaken into his head. You did good, there was no way to deactivate Ray's indoctrinated mind, since his paradigm is Creation and therefore the presumption of a Creator. Im sure Ray presumes that the Sun rises (literally) every day and revolves around the flat earth which stands still, until the next morning, like a child would figure out, as a rational conclusion, though a mistaken one.

Nanotrex Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - You two are arguing about ENTROPY Low entropy = high order If the universe started with the lowest possible entropy then the tendency of the universe is towards high entropy/low order. Don't believe me? Drop a glass and tell me whether it had more area before, or after the drop. Just don't ask me to clean it up =P A great book to read which covers entropy quite indepth is 'The Elegant Universe' by Brian Greene. If you want to say entropy is intelligent, I'm not going to stop you...

Nanotrex Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - What made high entropy? The conditions preexisting the universe. However, without a universe there is no time to reference "preexisting" so it's actually a redundant term. Bottom line is you can't scientifically probe the known universe to discover extrauniversal information, only mathematical hypotheses can. So if you want to fill that unprobable extrauniversal void with a creator then be my guest. The universe would still be here, working fine, whether everyone was atheist or theist.

Nov 12, 2009 - Good show Thunderf00t. Thank you!

oravavaara Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - Thunderfoot, you are the MAN!

oravavaara Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - Thunderfoot- don't worry bout the stutter. My brain misfires when I get too close to morons too. You are the man!

starsat1 Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - Thunderfoot- I didn't have a problem with the stutter at all. My problem was with you attempting to debate a moron. You and he on two entirely different levels that will never cross. You might as well have debated a door knob.

Eisstahl Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - i would say debating a door knob would be much more satisfiing for us viewer. I found it absolutely unacceptabel, as ray comfort nonstop interrubting thunderf00d. by the way: i like the landscape. very beautiful!

Ekendil Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - I was not disappointed - you made excellent points and he made crap points.

martialme84 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - HEy Thunderf00t, never you worry! Not a bit! You did great, and i think disappointment came indeed mostly from those, who wanted to "see blood". I found that you had no need to make him look bad, because he did it all by himself. He immediately started to pull those same lame "arguments" and questions they always do. One of there problems, Richard Dawkins once said is, that they only listen to each other, but never to their "opponents". Good job! 5*

tr6tpdwn Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - i watched the series between you and ray right the setting was his turf why would that unsettle you? would not logic and reason still equip you to truly express your belief or disbelief? I listen and you gave no more Factual statements then Rays beliefs promoted him to say! Matter of fact if you reason that maybe the bible has scientific accuracy then you might look into the things you speak of!

tr6tpdwn Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - I dont know friend at the end looked like you wanted more time to go through what you were reading in the bible its seemed like disapointment was on your brow knowing you could not share what you read and ask questions about the bible it almost seemed to me you are searching for something that might well lets say take you out of bondage!

tr6tpdwn Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - take care i hope we can see debate using the word of God and there will be time to put all things in context of how they are written the book just seems to make alot more sense when you understand what it says!

tr6tpdwn Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - did you sleep in that shirt? just a observation thought funny! the best

SAHBfan Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - I'm not sure why some peoplewanted to see blood... Ray Comfort doesn't actually come across as a bad guy. Sadly deluded of course, but he doesn't seem a bad bloke. I think his ideas need debunking - but attacking and ridiculing the man would surely be counter productive. Exactly as ridiculing your occassional stammer has done, it shows up the critics for the petty minded idiots that they are...

sincere2da Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - Debating with someone with no knowledge of science or even the way things work, or a person who said "God Did it" there really is a no win debate..... Scientist are usually not the "Talking type", Christopher Hitchens is one, but he doesn't know science he's more of a person that can do do that. I have to even tell my mother definitions so that she can understand really what she is saying
