Mar 8, 2009 - I would suppose you might have some restriction since what is cut is gone forever. Have you considered not doing anything? Retaining your pectoral and lats intact? Great video, but there are alternatives to cutting up a woman's body. Really, the fake boobs they build for you have no nerve endings. What's the point in that? Give me balloons and I can hand them out to people who think I should look a certain way.

Mar 8, 2009 - Or, no reconstruction. Don't forget that is a healthy and viable option as well.

Apr 3, 2009 - Operative word here is 'choice', poetvision. What any woman chooses is her own business, whether to have surgery or not. This vid is for people who want to know about the surgical option.

May 8, 2009 - why dont all women get the fatty implants from there own body and not use the synthetic kind? I think it would feel more natural and less likely to reject it.
littlegothgirl2 Says:
May 26, 2009 - its dangerous, really the synthetic is safer the your own fat. its kind'a nasty. i know that it seems like taking your own fat adn putting it in your breast so okii but really, you can get all kinda of nasty infections that could make you lose your breast-.- least thats what my teacher says...*shutters*

Jul 25, 2009 - hi how is your mother? *hugs* how did the surgery turn out? did she use implants? please let me know,* thank you
MacysCorner Says:
Jul 25, 2009 - Hi, how are you? My mom's surgery turned out great! I am so happy and relieved, to say the least. My mother had her double mastectomy and breast reconstruction back in May (which was 7 hours). After that surgery, she had to go into her doc's office every Monday to get silicone injected into the breasts to fill them out until she got to a size that she wanted (the silicone was temporary).
MacysCorner Says:
Jul 25, 2009 - Just 1 week ago, she got the implants put in. Once she heals, she will go back to get the nipples put on(which will be made from her own body tissue). She is up and running, and doing great. Thank you so much for asking. Take care!
MacysCorner Says:
Jul 25, 2009 - Sometimes it isn't possible. My mom wanted to use her own body tissue from her abdomen but her doctor said that it would be much riskier for her due to a high possibility of her blood pressure rising dramatically. There are different reasons for everyone.
creedworshiper Says:
Jul 26, 2009 - Thank you for sharing that. God bless you and your mother. I guess she will not have to worry about b.c. any more.. ;) yay!!
MacysCorner Says:
Jul 26, 2009 - Thank you very much. I hope and pray that none of us will have to worry about her getting B.C anymore (our family went through that once already and that was unbearable). Take great care!!

Sep 3, 2009 - I found this really helpful after just having a double mastectomy myself. I was too thin to use tissue from my body, and have to have implants instead. This information is extremely helpful to those of us, who are faced with breast cancer at such a young age, and want to remain as normal as possible. The fear of the surgery is worse than the surgery itself. So this is helpful in relieving the fear, and knowing that there are options in how to replace our breasts to feel like a woman again.

Sep 3, 2009 - Is your mom OK!? I hope she is
MacysCorner Says:
Sep 3, 2009 - aw, yes she is, thank you for asking!! She's done with all 3 parts of the surgery. I am very grateful.

Sep 22, 2009 - While hungry and sleep-deprived, I watched a series of these informative videos and I almost passed out! It was a tough combination really! I always wonder how people become doctors to perform such operations. Hats off to all doctors without whom God knows what disasters would've happened every single day.

Oct 26, 2009 - I just had a masectomy and reconstuctive surgery done same time using the lastissmus dosal 10 days ago so this was really helpful. thank you

Nov 21, 2009 - 3 months on, and its still tough...the tissue expanders are uncomfortable, (the doctors will keep pumping you up as large as you want, however, I said No, after a size C - after being an A cup....you really have to keep positive, and remember that the final outcome will be ok..however, I get my implants in Jan, so I will post on how it is...I miss my lady lumps, and sex has changed through this....implants don't replace what you have lost in the raw...only through clothes do you fool people!!
