Oct 25, 2009 - "I have ridden the mighty moon worm!"

coprographia Says:

Oct 27, 2009 - If a cartoon is making fun of something it must be true.

ligeynuts Says:

Oct 27, 2009 - The timing and delivery of this gag is awesome, made me laugh so much the first time I saw it. The placebo effect can be useful in certain situations but I don't want my taxes paying for it.

bersaba Says:

Oct 31, 2009 - Actually, davluc1, placebo effect DOES work in mainstream medicine, which is why when they do double blind clinical trials, they have to take the placebo effect into account. It's also why on occasions when you see a 'miracle' in a hospital, it's probably a placebo effect.

atterolevad Says:

Nov 1, 2009 - ok but do you know what the placebo effect really is? it is energy healing. the same principals that hoeopathy is based on. everything is energy, even thought, and emotions . the positive energy created by the placebo of thinking that the medicin is working is the energy that combats the energetic frequecncy of the illness. the placebo only works seldomly becouse the counter balancing frequencies are rarely the percise correct frequency . that is where homeopathy comes in.

Zamboro Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - No, what you're describing is superstition. What "energy"? What sort of particles comprise it? How does it propagate? Can you demonstrate its existence empirically?

guidav123 Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - every atom of everything consist of "energy" do some research into e=mc2 energy and mass are equivalent. what you think of as reality is just what your brain has decoded through the limits of your 5 senses. if you need a demonstration of the existence of the energy inside an atom ,then just split one. ever heard of the atomic bomb?

Zamboro Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - Yes, everyone knows about the theory of relativity and the equivalence of matter and energy. And yes of course I'm aware of the atom bomb. None of that explains how "energy healing" is supposed to work. The "energetic frequency of the illness"? You're not talking about legitimate science there, you're talking about new age quackery.

guidav123 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - if everything is energy then everything including disease has energetic frequencies. Applying counter balancing frequencies to the disease to change the unbalnce into a frequency that is in harmony with the body shouldnt be that hard of a concept to wrap your head around. but apparently your so hell-bent on arguing against homeopathy that you fail to see the most simplistic logic.

Zamboro Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - You're just repeating things you heard in that Charlene Werner video. She isn't a scientist, or a real doctor.

guidav123 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - i have no idea who Charlene Werner is. but she sounds like a smart person.

Zamboro Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - We both know that you're lying. The video ID is: C0c5yClip4o Everything you've said was taken straight from there.

sonofdazhbog Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - Don't insult Homeopathy! It saved countless lives of people sick with meningitis, peritonitis, brain abscess, cholera, bubonic plague, compound fractures and other maladies ! Yes, sometimes it does not work - but only when the medicine is not sufficiently diluted. The power of those vibrations the molecules transmit to water is awesome - but good dilution is a must. Sometimes it requires to drop a medicine at French coast and to collect the solution in Florida - and it works like magic!

guidav123 Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - no im not lying. if you knew anything about the alternative health world you would know that everything i have said is common knowledge among those that study wholistic medicin.

Zamboro Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - I also know Werner's video is making the rounds right now and that you covered exactly the same topics she did. The bottom line is that no credible scientist or doctor promotes homeopathy, it's based on supernatural beliefs originally, they just use sciencey-sounding buzzwords lately to make it sound more credible.

guidav123 Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - religions and there beleifs have always stemed from the study of the this misterious thing we now know as energy. yes they were on to it long before they could explain it. if anything this should only support it.

sonofdazhbog Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - You don't believe in supernatural? Have you ever heard of chi" energy flowing through channels in our bodies? That energy connects us to the minds of intelligent beings of numerous galaxies. We learn how to heal our bodies not from "science" but from meditation that opens up the gates of higher knowledge. Acupuncture, crystals, homeopathy - that is real medicine - not pills and vaccines! How much proof do you need - alien abductions, fairies, UFO's, big foot sightings - still not enough?

Zamboro Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - Hahahahahahahaha!

sonofdazhbog Says:

Nov 6, 2009 - Everything is energy therefore everything including baloney has energetic frequencies. Applying counter balancing frequencies of baloney to the body of a vegetarian change the unbalnce into a frequency that is in harmony - only an idiot may argue against such simple logic! Stupid anti-homeopatic mafia.

vociferous2000 Says:

Nov 6, 2009 - @guidav123 Why do I get a feeling that you are using the term "logic" as a synonym for, "crazy nonsense that I believe"? Science works through inductive logic. Homeopathy works through ridiculous theories, that if true, would require us to completely rewrite some of the fundamental tenets of physics and chemistry, so please do not insult logic by claiming that "simple logic" leads to the ridiculous claims of homeopathy.

MarshalJimRaynor Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - What about those things that exist at a temperature of zero kelvin? Those things have no energy, and thus Homeopathy fails to exist as a quantifiable science. QED.

Pilkingtube Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - Bull. The concept just doesn't work, until frozen, the hydrogen bonds in water aren't rigid enough to maintain any sort of shape, so unless you're gonna inject diluted ice into people, it won't work.

Pilkingtube Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - "Have you ever heard of chi" energy flowing through channels in our bodies? " Thats called blood.

TomMSTie Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - There is only one truth, one path to health and enlightenment...THE HYPNO TOAD! *BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
