Nov 21, 2009 - nnnnnnnnnnnot really no. Koenigsegg is cheaper and can do more than just straight line racing. Bugatti needed 16 cylinders and 4 turbochargers to get that amount of horsepower. Koenigsegg only needed 8 cylinders and 2 superchargers. On top of that, Koenigsegg is the only homologated car, meaning it meets all emissions standards (including California) so it is legal here without any modifications to meet our standards.

Nov 23, 2009 - For one it's a lot better on the track. It's a lot lighter than the Veyron and it's better around the corners. It's still a monster in the straights like the Veyron though not as good. It also has the highest power to weight ratio between the two. If you take the 1018 hp version and put it up against the Veyron, it'll be an extremely close match.

It's all estimated and without the downforce (notice this car flying off the track, it would need some work to do a top speed run). Two different cars, the bugatti has been tested and is more refined, much of the CCX is all on paper.
