Sep 16, 2009 - It was a nice building now its filled with bums, though as of lately the CP Police have control over it. So its been cleaned a bit by volunteers. Though I doubt it will ever end up being anything again.Too bad too nice building.

Sep 18, 2009 - is there any news on what happened?
mspadfoot Says:
Sep 21, 2009 - If that's the case, then why are real estate prices astronomical in places like Boston, New York, and San Francisco? People left the cities in the 1950s because they were run down after 20 years of war and depression, and then the urban renewal charlatans ruined most of them so nobody would want to come back. At any rate, people are going to have to get used to living in close proximity again soon: peak oil is going to kill suburbia whether anyone likes it or not.

Oct 7, 2009 - unbelievable that detroit let the station get to such shit that it is now. and then they complain that the building is a dangerous eye-sore. fuck them
kindakooldude Says:
Oct 9, 2009 - I passed by the place a couple weeks ago, I went under the tunnel and saw people trying to open the inside of the tunnel. Probably trying to vandalise the place.

Oct 11, 2009 - We had a chance to get off of oil,but the gipper reagan was voted in.Thanks ronnie, all the unemployed thanks you for outsourcing and high gas prices.
imiss70smusic Says:
Oct 15, 2009 - i was just in detroit this past weekend and saw the structure. it is so sad and tragic. it is a testament to the decline of the United States. Shame on the Detroit politicians (wasnt the mayor more interested in chasing women than taking care of the city) for letting such a magnificent work of art become what it is today. Truly pathetic. People of Detroit - you need to hold your politicans accountable. demand better!
Uttelito Says:
Oct 17, 2009 - Why not remake this building and make offices out of it insted of letting if fall apart.
MSUroody8 Says:
Oct 17, 2009 - The city would need someone to invest in it.
cjmarsh504 Says:
Oct 22, 2009 - The only way to fix that problem for Detroit is tourism, just like my hometown New Orleans did with the oil industry when it went bust. It is not too late.

Nov 10, 2009 - Right. That's what happened to Detroit the Republicans. Ha ha ha......It'sbeen liberal politicians running Detroit for the last 30+ years. You need to study your history.
gloryfades107 Says:
Nov 15, 2009 - yeah wait detroit is a blue city its almost like when people expect something, they dont try and get it for them selves. I bet its great in detroit that they dont have to pay to get garbage picked up like in thoes greedy red capitalist states.
rkeppler3633 Says:
Nov 16, 2009 - They're saying they are going to dismantle the station as part of the stimulus money.
seniordiscount Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - If theres one stimulus project that americans wouldnt be opposed to footing, its the restoration of this building.
vwcaddylowrider Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - simply breath taking..what an amazing building...must have been unreal back in the day...still looks stunning despite its ghostly demise....excellent video..thanks for sharing
michaeluae Says:
Nov 22, 2009 - bob herbert mentioned the mcs in a NY times editorial today and i looked it up here, after seeing some photos of its current condition. seems like in addition to the sad decline of detroit, a problem for mcs was always that it is some 2 miles from downtown, and not quite in the suburbs either. still a shame such a beautiful old building should go to waste. guess everything in real estate comes down to location.
