Sep 7, 2008 - WOW ! I went to see Sierra tonight 09/06/2008at Isothermal CC in Spindale , NC . She and her band were the warm up band for Dr. Ralph Stanley and the Clinchfield Mtn. Boys !Sierra is much better in person than on youtube !!! Prettier too !! She was fantastic , an unbelievable talent ! It was a priviledge to watch her play in person !!

Oct 20, 2008 - Sierra is wonderful and so humble. When she was 8, she was in my 3rd grade class. After she had taken mandolin lessons for 2 months, she asked to play for the class. I wasn't thinking that this would be the greatest talent in music that I had ever taught. When she got through the first 4 measures my mouth was hanging open. I was totally in awe of her ability. She played very fast songs which is not typical of a beginner. She's a super person and Byrdstown people are very proud of her!!!
