MikeDecipher Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - @flcl Stop it man. What the hell good are you going to do for people by making them afraid?

MikeDecipher Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - "Belief in the existence of a god or gods, especially belief in a personal God as creator and ruler of the world." I would fall under the category of a person who believes in the existence of God (not "a" god); there's a difference. That definition didn't even state that description.

MikeDecipher Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - "So, yes... you are cut from the same cloth." There are only two types of cloths in this world Cryo. There are the cloths that make sense, and there are the cloths that make no sense. There are the cloths that lead, and there are the cloths that follow. People from all categories can wear each cloth; including people from every separate religion.

MikeDecipher Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - "You believe in an invisible man (or men)." What you have done here, is grabbed the most unreasonable definition of God in your mind, attached it to me, then afterwards called me an unreasonable person. This is what atheists do when they don't want to know the real arguments.

MikeDecipher Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - "Agnostic would be a rational response for any person, but due to the lack of evidence of a creator, atheism seems to fit better." Well then, how about Radical Atheism?-- or Atheist Extremism? Because you certainly fall under the category of that my friend.

MikeDecipher Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - "Reasonable? Then just stop defending these religious imbeciles" What makes you think that I was? Their actions were clearly wrong. It makes me upset to see that kind of sht. "they already have more 'rights' than us rational, reasonable atheists do." Yeah, I know. And it's wrong, which is why I believe in the separation between church and state.

flcl7471 Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - I'm not making anyone afraid. its just the sad reality. sorry to say. =[ i love atheists but if i were one i would be a lot more afraid of death. just saying.

MikeDecipher Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - Ya, I do to bro. I wouldn't want them to be afraid of death either, but at the same time, I respect them for being brave people. But their delusion is, is that just because they're facing those fears, doesn't mean they are seeing all of the world for what it really is (in it's totality). Some of them want something to compensate for, for experiencing the darkest side of reality: they want to be known to be right about absolutely everything, and they're not. I apologize for barking at you.

robbaress Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - We are a lot more afraid of death, that's a good thing in case you haven't noticed. Not caring if you die because you think your going to some fairy tale place is a horrible way to see life. Not caring if you die comes from religion 99.99% of the time hence 9/11 and a million other horrible things. Religion is for the undereducated or insecure or undereducated and insecure.

robbaress Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - I hate this fucking stupid religious babble about you can't prove there is no god, it demonstrates your ignorance flawlessly. THE BURDEN OF PROOF IS ON THOSE WHO CLAIM THE EXISTENCE OF SOMETHING UNPROVEN. I can't prove there is no god the way you can't prove that I can't fly. Use your brains, please.

robbaress Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - And by the way, these statistics of atheism and agnosticism are old, 16.1% of this country are non-believers and that number is growing faster than any religion ever did in the history of the world, people are getting smarter.

MikeDecipher Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - "And by the way, these statistics of atheism and agnosticism are old, 16.1% of this country are non-believers and the number is growing faster than any religion ever did in the history of the world, people are getting smarter." Good =)

ExtantFrodo Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - "Not caring if you die because you think your going to some fairy tale place is a horrible way to see life." zing! How very true.

flcl7471 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - true. but it is not a horrible way to live you're life. people try a lot harder to be better people so they can go to a "fairy tale place". If i wasn't catholic I'd probably be in jail right now and I'll tell you that right now. It's cool if you're atheist. But insulting other people's religion is just wrong, considering how many people devote their lives to it. That's worse then racism in my books.

DeadFishFactory Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - @flcl7471 So you're saying that the only reason you don't go out and kill is because you are afraid of divine retribution, or you want a reward in the afterlife? Did you know that most animals go by that mentality? It's not insulting another religion if you're simply asking for proof or evidence for that religion. If someone devotes their whole life to it, then they must have some knowledge about the questions that atheists and people of other religions have for them.

flcl7471 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - @ DeadFishFactory i never said i'd be in jail for murder... haha. And i was referring to the people on the comments saying "i hate catholics" and "catholics piss me off"

DeadFishFactory Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - @flcl7471 I was providing an example. My point was that you are saying that the only reason you do not do bad things is because someone is keeping you on a leash. Atheists, on the other hand, simply do not go out and do bad things because they believe that society cannot thrive if we tolerate behaviors that can negatively impact society (stealing, murdering, etc.). Leave their opinions to themselves.

flcl7471 Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - @DeadFishFactory fuck you. lmao

DeadFishFactory Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Fuck you, too, buddy.

ORACLE063 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - i was born an atheist!!! FTW, point set and match!!

Yereviltwin2 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - "Become a decent person because you are, not because of anyones lord or savior" Or become a terrible person since theres no afterlife to damn you. Since good and bad have been traditionally defined by the teaching of Christianity; without GOD, bad can be good! Morals from now on will be relative to the individual and not by the collective. A universal set of rules to live by are so dumb, make up your own, do anything you want without any consequences! Im off to fuck a baby, then eat it

Vire70 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - We're all born atheists.

cwestsupporter Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - I have to disagree deadfish, I'm an atheist, and like you said I try not to do foolish illegal things because i believe in most laws for the betterment of society. On the other hand my parents are devout catholics, but they don't refrain from breaking laws based on the fear of hell, or a magic man holding the leash, they do for the same reasons we do, the betterment of ourselves and those around us.
