There's no need to buy some extra bulky equipment for 1080p, cause it won't magically turn it into that. Then about the audio sampling, most CD's are sampled at 44100 Hz, so even if you have a receiver that supports higher frequencies, it's not gonna magically put samples in where there was none. Read wiki's before you go posting

If the game is 720p, then either the PS3 or your tv will scale it to 1080p. Same with his cd tip...you can't get higher resolution out of something that is low res...and if you do, it is artificial.
