Nov 12, 2009 - "...I don't kick and scream when his shit don't fall in my hand...cuz I know how to steal..." that line is TRUTH right there.

Nov 12, 2009 - meh. not as hype as they were clearly going for. too much neo soul does that to you.

Nov 13, 2009 - i dont know how they were but in the two days that ive been listening they still try to write music thats playable by them live not like some other crappy-ass-have-listened-to-many-alike songs that go around from new hiphopers that consist of beats and such made from the computer and samplers and other stuff like that. And lets face it this song has character in terms of music.
Sigurdist Says:
Nov 14, 2009 - Me and my band is doing a cover (far as good as the original) and from the first to strokes of the snare the chills just starts running! But still it's quite odd that this is the song the roots are most known for (When I'm asked who my inspirations as a drummer is, I say as one of the first questlove and if peroble don't him I have to answer - you know, the roots... sighs... the seed 2.0 and they go aaahh yea okay, but I only know that song though). It's just strange when they've so much else.
jazzefingers Says:
Nov 14, 2009 - agreed about the song having "character" in terms of music!..love original sounds of music no sampled or electronically programmed sounds....the roots are ridiculous live!....check out another band, "INRG" i been listening to, keeping good music rollin...ps their album is dope also!

donaldeasterling Says:
Nov 16, 2009 - I'm a drummer, and though the song is quite simple to cover on rhythm, its hard to match that exact intensity on snare and loose hats. The hardest part is to find someone to do the vocals well enough, or its not going to be great. But other songs like "(jump over) the wall" is fantastic on drums and bass.
rubbaorsi07 Says:
Nov 16, 2009 - @vabosalam e dico che zucchero ha copiato spudoratamente e poi si fa chiamare il re del blues.che schifo d'artista.
