Feb 1, 2009 - I do both and I don't see BJJers doing that many throws. There is only one throw that is allowed in BJJ that isn't allowed in Judo competiion and thats the Scissors Takedown. The only submissions that aren't in Judo that are leglocks. If you crosstrain both, you will rule the ground and standup. Usually Judo Guys are dominant at first, but unless they submit quick loose the advantage. BTW, Usually when I tell BBJers I am a Judoka, the first thing they do is pull guard and I just walk away.
