Jul 24, 2008 - Great observation, you are correct and I do see that too. Watch the whole series and you will find explanations why I don't believe in these institutions either. I am a free thinker. I will be posting a video today that goes even further towards answering this. It is called the power of prayer and analyzes why people who let others think for them are doing damage to themselves.

Jul 25, 2008 - returnthesoapbox the chances are we will disagree but at least you allow non theists to post which is something many theists sites are too afraid to do. I will check out the other installments to this one. PB
returnthesoapbox Says:
Jul 25, 2008 - I share the same respect. I allow people to post if they have something to say on point or are conversant. Let's face it we are tested with multiple choices to believe. Science has just as many unknowns as religion. Some people just pick one, some go with the flow, some accept what their paresnt give them and some explore and reshape their beliefs. In truth there can only be one truly right answer, but I think that lays somewhere in a mix of science and religion.
NibbitsForLife Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - Usualy, ignorant people are NOT very critical. They seem to talk before they think, and believe in that same manner.
NibbitsForLife Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - Ok. Second, playing 'on the man', while there's still no point being made, rather than the obvious assumption that there's a difference between how a child thinks and the way a grown man does, and so only showing your own ignorance, will cost you two points. Moving on.
NibbitsForLife Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - Lol. A free thinker? Maybe a self-proclaimed one. Next, you stereotype company life. I hope you someday may work in a company which has moral integrity. To this point, no statements about religion have been made and you only played 'on the man' and 'on company life'.
NibbitsForLife Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - And there it is. The first question which asks for a reasonable answer, and how predictable: 'on the man', you're a hypocrit if you ask this question. This, I think, is a classical piece of psychological mirroring. A few seconds later you got me laughing. 'Trying to sell your belief system that god is imaginary'. You know what 'imaginary' means right? It's when you make something real which is not there, like god (boogyman/santa claus). You do this through faith, acceptance without evidence.
NibbitsForLife Says:
Aug 27, 2008 - So I'm watching the explenation of prayer. Nice thing to know that praying in the old testament is not the same as 'spells' in other belief systems, and seconds later you tell that it is part of a system and it may hurt me if I'm doing it in a wrong way. I felt a terrible pain right then... It's called 'shame', and I'm probably feeling it because you can't feel it yourself.'Ignorance is the curse of mankind', go and figure which philosopher the bible nicked that from. Peace.

Aug 28, 2008 - God doesn't want to heal amputees ? But he heals cancer? How stupid is it to think that's an answer? Very ! There's no possible way that any god would ever choose to heal one disease or ailment, but not others. Wow! That's some real illogical and irrational thinking . Religion makes up excuses for its flawed logic---"It's God's will", "God works in mysterious ways", I mean, come on, how foolish to believe such laughably false assessments, based on "flat earth" and divine-magic mentalities ;
returnthesoapbox Says:
Aug 29, 2008 - First of all the amputee does not have an ailment or disease. Secondly God has given us the technology to do transplants so in many ways God has decided to grace us with the capability to heal these people. Do you eat pancakes for breakfast? Then why don't you eat a pond moss too? Oh yeah you have free will. God can design the world how he wants. Lizards can grow back their tail. The human liver regenerates. So I guess I am foolish to acknowleging design and youre smart for ignoring it.

Sep 22, 2008 - for once I feel the urge to step out of my selfchosen millenial muteness, and react: Returnthesoapbox video's are a pile of shit. Hang this commendment above your door. Greets, J*w*h, a.k.a. mango
returnthesoapbox Says:
Sep 28, 2008 - The muteness was serving you so well. Don't go changing.

Oct 1, 2008 - The Great sky wizard, if such a thing exists is an cruel bastard or doesn't give a fuck, You come into this life with nothing, you leave with nothing, all the rest is propaganda mate.
nathanomgnathan Says:
Feb 18, 2009 - you're an ignorant beligerent biased dumbass, who tries to prove points by contorting peoples uses of figures of speech. nice job being an intelligent christian, i'll give you that, but also good job on being an arrogant one.
nathanomgnathan Says:
Feb 18, 2009 - By the waaayyyy. if you were at all a free thinker you would disengage with the christian faith. IT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY HOW DIFFERENT YOUR LIFE WILL BE.
returnthesoapbox Says:
Feb 19, 2009 - If anyone is being ignorant, it is you. Go to the #5 video and see how "Christian" I am. If you were a free thinking you would not see the choice of either believeing in Christianity or being an athiest as the only two options. The world is not bianary, why do you think this way? Christianity is a lie.
returnthesoapbox Says:
Feb 19, 2009 - Ahahahah! " ignorant beligerent biased dumbass" " intelligent christian" This is one proof your misinformed. I am not a Christain any longer and my videos in fact expose christianity for what it is and that aint good.
nathanomgnathan Says:
Feb 19, 2009 - oh you know, sorry, actually. I thought you were christian. but if your so atheist, why are you responding so harshly to that video
nathanomgnathan Says:
Feb 19, 2009 - i'm an atheist, just so we'tre clear
Courage78 Says:
May 29, 2009 - Wow... you said a whole lot of nothing. You managed to create 7 videos, without actually asnwering the questions. What I did hear you do, however, was create excuses for your 'God'. Not just that, you claim to know his motives... I find you an interesting individual that you would know this. I guess Job would find you interesting as well. Religious people are people who rather not think about the sense of life or rather the absense of sense.
Courage78 Says:
May 29, 2009 - What we are and do, is what defines us. Some people haven't got the mental stability to cope with the fact that we are as a people and species as we do and think, simply that and nothing more. There is no superior being that will guide us or judge us. Because that would strike the religious people with fear and hopelessness. 'No God to guide us, tell us right from wrong ? The world would go down the toilet'. That's sad really, not being able to be proud of being human and our accomplishments.
returnthesoapbox Says:
May 30, 2009 - So explain my video 5 points away. Why the scientific imbalance?

returnthesoapbox Says:
Jul 24, 2008 - Youre right about this passage. I should explain something to you as you have not watched all the videos yet, but there is only one book of the Old Tetsament that I put faith in. The others are corruptions. That book is Deuteronomy. Leviticus was written and maintained by the Kohens and Levis and the prophets teach us these men of temple corrupted teachings. Besides none of these preists were prophets. It is forbidden to add a word to that which Mosses wrote before he died.
