Oct 19, 2009 - This is one of the greatest songs ever written, and this version by Leon on this video is the best there is. God bless such an incredible talent for bringing this song to us.

chunkawanka Says:

Oct 20, 2009 - This is nice, but it pales in comparison to the version that Ray Charles does. Especially the performance on Willie Nelson's 70th birthday concert. That version starts with Leon, then to Willie, and Ray finishes out the last 3/4 of the song. Ray actually brought Willie Nelson to tears with his performance. Ray died 13 months later listening to it now gives it even more meaning and weight. You have got to check out Leon, Willie and Ray Charles on youtube. Ray lives on in our hearts and minds.

Oct 28, 2009 - You can hear this song sang by The Carpenters, Willie Nelson, Helen Reddy and even Andy Williams, but when you hear sung by the one who wrote it there are just no words to describe it. I love you, Leon!

cynfulcyndi1 Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - First Foremost, this song touches my heart so as my 1st memory in life was being with my real Mom Dad @ the Leon Russell concert @ the original Universal Amphitheatre. I remember Leon being in the middle of the theater, and I was happy sittin' atop my Dady's shoulders..and he's real tall!! I was just a baby really; maybe 3 or 4. At my first of many concerts with my Musician Daddy Gorgeous Mommy!

cynfulcyndi1 Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - Today it has a different meaning. So many artists have redone it (including one of my faves, Michael Buble), but no one sings it quite the way the man who wrote it does. If I do indeed finish my script this time round, this is the theme song to end it..Rock On Leon Russell. xoxo
