Oct 21, 2009 - Please post some links to the so-called studies.

Tespri Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - Check information about primates... also there have been "children" adoptions with in animals... example as other animal taking another specie to his/her kid. Dogs helping their masters when they are in trouble? Alot of talks over centuries about random dolphin helping man. Best of all human is an animal. Tell me how is our moral beter than theirs? Because we do prety much same thing, expect we are the ones who are f*cking this planet up at this moment. I can try to send link, if youtube allows.

Tespri Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - yeh can't put links on youtube... send you message. Btw learn to use google.

tecknojock Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - I hadn't really cared on looking it up. I read them since you sent me it. After reading the articles I am still unconvinced that those "morals" are anything more than survival mechanisms. We are talking about social animals who through evolution had to learn how to cope with living in a society for a society provides safety from predators for prey, and provides strength in hunting for predators.

tecknojock Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - I'm not going to argue that our morals are any different because, frankly, we evolved from those animals. Humans are a social species and came with the basic hardwiring of monkeys when it comes to morals. Sure our society goes a little more in depth into them but we all know inherently that it is wrong to kill another human among other things. Our species had these pack instincts built in as the human race, in the beginning, was a collection of small hunter gatherer tribes and

tecknojock Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - had to cope with a society or die. Most social animals of the same species wont kill each other in a fight. It's coded in their brains not to because it will weaken the whole group thus lessening the individuals chance of survival. Those child adoptions go with the same thing, when the children grow up and join the pack and strengthen the whole's ability to survive. Dogs, in the wild, fight for the good of the pack. A domesticated dog perceives its family as its pack and so protects them.

tecknojock Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - I also won't deny that animals may have emotion. Most certainly some monkeys do and after all its a big leap to go from no emotion at all to having the well developed emotions we do now without an intermediate stage of some primitive emotions that often crops up in other mammals. These facts though, don't point to a god but rather, the power of evolution.

Tespri Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - You know that human moral is basicly the same that other animals got? It can't be really be proven that even man has moral. You don't need to be how to say it... good person? To have morals. We do same thing as those animals mostly by instinct or because it would hurt us otherwise. Claiming that animals doesn't got morals because they do it for surviving doesn't remove fact that what they do is morally good.

Tespri Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - I'm not trying to point into god in anyway. I'm agnostic atheist.

Tespri Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - I'm not sure did you even look what debate was about. MelonHeadFilmz though that only way to have moral is to be in religion or to be connected to it. I showed animals and that other atheist human "tribe"(he doesnt like that word) as example to that there is moral without religion. Only way he could have backed up his idea Would be to proof every religion as same or true. Since if man created religion... he also made moral codes too.

tecknojock Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - I guess not, I didn't scroll down that far and was half asleep while reading the comments. I were are both pretty much on the same page here and should have formulated my last couple posts a little better and should have read some more of the commnents instead of misinterpreting yours.

Tespri Says:

Oct 22, 2009 - No problem, started to think that something is wrong here and had to made it more clear what whole thing was about.

jazzx251 Says:

Oct 23, 2009 - Not to mention that many Christians find Father Ted hilarious. (which it is)

jazzx251 Says:

Oct 23, 2009 - Hmm - worse than that, he goes around drowning entire populations on a whim and then kills the children of an entire nation because of the actions of its leader (while not killing the leader himself, funnily enough). Then, sadistically, he demands this event be celebrated every year.

ANNABEV Says:

Oct 23, 2009 - funny guy

coolioj0 Says:

Oct 25, 2009 - this guy paints a picture of christians that isnt true. Comedians can make fun of anything, that doesnt mean its not true.

mike118117 Says:

Oct 26, 2009 - Dave Allen was one of the greatest ever Irish comedians. He had the gift of the great storyteller. His comic timing was impeccable. The term genius is an overworked term these days but in Dave Allen's case it is a mantle that he richly deserves. Comics of his stature are sadly lacking these days.

AmpRebel1 Says:

Oct 27, 2009 - Tell me what he said that isn't true.

Melari231 Says:

Oct 28, 2009 - ha!
