Nov 19, 2009 - The ending of this movie is anything but meaningless Gongxia. Watch it again, or maybe you don't understand the decadence, uber-conformity or just plain snobbery of the eighties. The point of this movie, while hyperbolic, is that everyone looks and acts the same, constantly mistaking each other, especially Patrick. The killings are swept under the rug, so to speak, so as to not cause trouble. No one is really sure who's who, let alone who's killing, in a city that doesn't care.

Nov 22, 2009 - Amazingly no. That is what I thought but- read the book and you will find it actually happened. And im glad, the story would be almost pointless if Bateman was the only immoral character. The movie as about the immorality of wallstreet in the 80s.
