Sep 3, 2009 - I'm 18 now and i think it gives songs that are so great that the age doesn't matter in enjoying 'em...

Sep 16, 2009 - American irony for Paul Revere to cover a song best known by the Kingsmen!! ;o)

gaamaml Says:

Sep 17, 2009 - Both Paul Revere and the Raiders and the Kingsmen were based in Portland, Oregon. Both had great versions, but PRR was the best.

brownjmj Says:

Sep 18, 2009 - Both versions were covers of the original by the composer, Richard Berry. Both the Raiders and Kingsmen versions were recorded the same month in the same studio.

RoyFive Says:

Sep 25, 2009 - ...and it's a major injustice that the Kingsmen's version gets exclusive airplay anymore. Not taking anything away from the KM, but they did a lot of other songs, too (and they were better when Lynn Easton took over lead vocals).

PAMILANDA Says:

Sep 26, 2009 - Notice the lack of guitar leads or amps

Vermontist Says:

Sep 27, 2009 - I haven't seen Paul Revere the Raiders since the 60s. They're so GOOFY! It's no wonder our parents grandparents thought we'd all gone off the deep end. This is awesome!

davydeush Says:

Oct 1, 2009 - wow, really cool version !

JAG312 Says:

Oct 2, 2009 - Is there anyone who doesn't know that this obscene, subversive song drove J. Edgar Hoover of the FBI (Famous But Incompetent) crazy?

phyllis1753 Says:

Oct 3, 2009 - Did someone say "lip sync"? This is so cheesy that it's fun and brings back those memories from long, long ago!

graylyns Says:

Oct 3, 2009 - Have mercy, Jesus, would ya look at Mark Lindsay! I'm going into heart failure!

greatvanzinni Says:

Oct 25, 2009 - My brothers group (The Che-Vels) opened for them often here in the Willamette Valley I got to meet them at about age 9 or 10. It was a kick. Gave me the incentive to play too. Typical of the boys,,, if you have to lip-sync it why not get totally silly?!!! R.I.P. Smitty Drake.

kingvidiot66 Says:

Oct 26, 2009 - Did the Che-vels make any records?

greatvanzinni Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - No they didn't. A lot of tapes as I recall. There was another group that came out (North Cal.) with a record about the same time. Different spelling. Rich Dangel Lives!!!
