Nov 22, 2009 - wait, did u just compare the particle accelerator to an experiment with an alien rock in the video game half-life?

skellyton1 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - not to be a wanker or anything, but prove to me that the big bang occurred, were u there, do you have something that i can pick up that proves beyond a doubt that it happened? its called a theory for a reason mate. i don't believe in the bible i also don't like to bash it.

TheWorldgonecrazy Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Ok , now we know that these people are SMART but have they any common sense ? ( doubt it ) THE BIG BANG started atom size or smaller but YET it created everything we see , the universe BUT IT WAS SMALL AT THE START. So how on earth do these people think they can replicate this safely , do they not think they could start time again buy ending our time in this UNIVERSE .

manhunt48 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - skellyton1, did you go to high school? firstly the word theory has a different meaning in a scientific context. Like saying " that frying pan is hot" and " that girl is hot". It a theory just like gravity, are you doing to deny that as well? Also we don't need to be there to know is happened. . .Just like with a murder, there is evidence. Red shift, hubbles law, the microwave background radiation much more. I'm not studying astronomy so i'm not an expert but this is common knowledge.

manhunt48 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - TheWorldgonecrazy Common sense is not an issue with quantum mechanics due to the fact that it totally defy's common sense. However this does not mean it's wrong in any way. If fact it's very very true as we can make predictions from it that are so accurate it would be like predicting the width of north America to within the width of a human hair, and getting it correct.

tkpb938 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Tune your radio station so that it is playing static. There's your evidence.

metical87 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - unfortunately it won't be used for any of those good things. I see much weapon applications with this.

rongenman Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - you cannot make a black hole. the machine simply will not hold together, close ? yes, very close however, the outer fringes of the black hole will break the machine. the machine is fantastic.

imachristian100 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - we are doooooooomed

yutzwagon2 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Alright, fine physics jump-started medical science. Ok, fine, this'll help find new energy sources. But why does everyone freak out if someone's opinion is different? It's not like I'm hindering the project. So I don't think we should be focusing on it, that's not going to stop them from using the technology. It's still going to happen. Stop freaking out on me because I was bold enough to voice my opinion. Not once did I insult any one, and I'm bombarded with insults from several users. Im done

mockingarab Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Getting closer to prove god is non existent

leetbarker Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Why wouldn't they listen? We tried to warn them!

9thsfviolence Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - i dont know what could happen it is both exciting and scary

kickwagon Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - It's because the world is currently overrun with clusterfucks of crybabies. Keep speaking what you feel, and ignore the nay sayers. :D

na5m Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Wonder if I could heat up my wife's leftover meat loaf in that thing.....

yutzwagon2 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Thanks Kick, us wagons gotta stick together.

kickwagon Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - lol damn right

superdonyoungy Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Relax and take a deep breath it's all good, I didn't have a go at you. You did voice your opinion, boldly as you put it and I replied that was all. Relax, this is only you tube.

BlueNight134 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - The special effects at the end are AWESOME. However, the battery pulsing looks rather rude, almost like a male member.

SuperSayjinElite Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - It did happen, and all that they found out was that it takes more energy to create this process than the process actually outputs... Peak oil is on our heels, the western world is quietly looking to solve the upcoming energy crisis before it happens. Maybe it actually was successful but they're not saying anything about it because of.... You figure it out.

OldSchoolSkill Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - The video has good graphics and a clear explanation. I object to the "end of the world?" part of the tittle. Ignorant people may get the impression that the LHC is actually dangerous, when it is not. Sensational tittles like that only perpetrate misinformation and misunderstandings about the goals and methods of science. So, though the video itself is very good, the tittle is shameful. Stupid people are easy to scare, and they get scared about the wrong stuff. Don't help scare stupid people.

joyce2312 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - How do you know that for sure, there are many critici and scientist who say that its dangerous

joyce2312 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - I think its scary

OldSchoolSkill Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - There are NO nuclear physicists who think it is dangerous. Zero, none. The only people who think it might create a black hole are 1-paranoids 2-Fringe-pseudo-scientists or quasi-scientists from unrelated fields. (Quacks) 3- Non scientists with very poor physics educations. That is NOT MANY and they are NOT valid critics. Check the facts. The Tevatron at Fermilab has been working for decades with ZERO incidents. There's no danger. We have plenty of evidence. That's how I know.

piejesus1991 Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - not to devalue your point that it isn't dangerous, because it certainly isn't, BUT: scientists do predict that it may create micro-black holes. These however will evaporate due to Hawking Radiation. Because the experiment is conducted in a vacuum (more or less), the black hole will necessarily not be able to suck in nearly as much matter as it looses and will thus disappear almost instantly
