Oct 26, 2009 - I have Cerebral Palsy too, but I don't think we should be having a contest over who's more crippled than the rest. All that matters is that we're a lot better than those normal folks.

shadowedfigurine Says:

Oct 26, 2009 - To be honest, I didn't find him funny at all. Nothing to do with his disability, I have known many excellent people with cerebral palsy. But I thought his jokes were more or less predictable and pretending otherwise would be patronising to a guy who is most likely quite intelligent.

heightssurfer Says:

Nov 8, 2009 - He sounds like shaggy.

MastaSquidge Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - Thats a matter of opinion. I dont have a problem with anyone with any sort of disability. My cousin has down syndrome and is both the sweetest girl and the biggest pain in the ass imaginable. But I have met alot of people with some disability or another who are COMPLETE assholes. Just wanted to point out that while many of the disabled are more humble than most, they certainly arent all saints.

SpeciaNeedsParenting Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - I wouldn't consider cp a disease, because it is a non progressive condition. It doesn't get worse with time, and it's also not a genetic disorder.

SpeciaNeedsParenting Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - They're human like the rest of us, and I agree just as many of them can be assholes as the rest of us without "conditions".

Nov 19, 2009 - this guy is amazing im seeing him tonight

KassiAngel91 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SpeciaNeedsParenting Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Most cases of cp are casued before, during, or just after child birth (and can also occur during the early development stages of life), due to lack of oxygen to the brain. My son suffered a brain injury and has microcephaly (his brain is abnormal, smaller than average) and has spastic cp, and he's extremely aware and intelligent, though opposite of his early prognosis..

SpeciaNeedsParenting Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - In some cases (depending on the amount and regions affected of the brain) there are other forms of developmental delay (the crude term mental retardation describes such developmental delays and I'm using it here because of it's familiarity) that can occur. Though, as mentioned before, cp should not be looked at as a mental disability but rather a neuro-physical short circuiting. Though the problem lies in the brain, cp doesn't affect intellect.
