The only other people I have come across who would hold the same view are Germans. They like slapstick as well, along with tight leather shorts and massive sausages.

It also helps if you are prepared to stereotype your own nationality, and the Pythons are never afraid to do this as in sketches such as "Upper Class Twit of the Year" mocking the British class system.
