Oct 28, 2009 - Yeah, it looks good on him, but it's just odd how people are so fascinated and how he was so terrified of the prospect of losing his hair. Half the men I see walking around outside are bald. It's just so normal.

Nov 3, 2009 - Just because something is common, doesn't make it desireable. Hair is a form of human expression and self-image. Losing one's hair can be devastating psychologically... LISTEN to how he describes how it made him feel... Shaving it or restoring it... both are empowering to the hair loss sufferer. Today, hair loss is a medically-treatable condition. From his description, I would BET that if todays's medical therapy was around when he was losing his hair, he would have sought treatment!
surgeonofnalts Says:
Nov 3, 2009 - @iamalady: people are 'facinated' because they want to know if others are feeling the same way they are regarding their hair. Research shows, given a choice, many hair loss sufferers would rather have hair than money, friends or material possessions. Hair loss today is a medically-treatable condition with a higher degree of success when caught early. Still not sure? Ask Andre Agassi if his hair was important to him...

NosferatuD Says:
Nov 17, 2009 - Personally, I think that it can be safely said now that Patrick Stewart's charisma has more than made up for his earlier self-consciousness about his baldness. I am not exaggerating when I say that I cannot think of another actor whom I'd rather have lunch with.

pyrobryan Says:
Oct 26, 2009 - It's a big part of his look. Imagine Mr. T without the mohawk. Imagine Telly Savalas with hair. Some people's hair (or lack thereof) is a very defining part of their image.
