Sep 6, 2009 - Is Potassium magnetic!??
jellykelly696 Says:
Sep 6, 2009 - It is EVIL!!! VERY VERY EVIL!!! LOL
mitcheawesome Says:
Sep 7, 2009 - im pretty sure potassium went into water as potassium is highly reactive to water and will explode
super1commenter Says:
Sep 7, 2009 - Thanks you! But I saw other videos on youtube that shows the reaction, it just went on flames, but no explosion happened. Is it because professor's students used a HUGE amount of potassium?
super1commenter Says:
Sep 9, 2009 - no, its not

Sep 23, 2009 - If you think potassium is that evil by itself you should see saltpetre! big bang

Sep 29, 2009 - drop 1 ton potassium into the ocean :)

Oct 15, 2009 - Where i get potassium metal? I can´t get in Drugstore
hatman28 Says:
Oct 17, 2009 - no shit sherlock..ofc they wont sell potassium over the counter.. its one of the most reactive metals.. l2ebay.
hatman28 Says:
Oct 17, 2009 - did you see the first demonstration?
vitorix24 Says:
Oct 18, 2009 - no :D
vitorix24 Says:
Oct 18, 2009 - i know
Pharanoax Says:
Oct 24, 2009 - it will react so reactive lol
Thrashaero Says:
Oct 27, 2009 - potassium is reactive, and we have it in our bodies, and we also have water in our bodies, how does it react or not react then?
omaryoma Says:
Oct 28, 2009 - the one in our body is not potassium atom.....but its the potassium ion.......
brynnus Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - it does react, but on an atomic scale. for instance our nerves conduct electrical signals by transferring electrons between sodium and potassium ions. think of those energy transfers as really really really small explosions. well not exactly but it's a very nice mental image. lol. the K in our bodies is not metallic but in the form of salts or ions which don't explode on contact with water. not all reactions are violent.
Hydroxybenzeen Says:
Nov 8, 2009 - Nice vid, but NaK is not an amalgam, it's just a normal alloy. Alloys of mercury are called amalgam.
Envergure Says:
Nov 11, 2009 - That potassium mirror, it that related to how vacuum tubes often have a fine coating of metal inside the glass?
GreenKoldAid Says:
Nov 19, 2009 - i got a question... what is that liquid they use to isolate the potassium? the liquid in jar.
aryard Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - paraffin oil.
