The fact (your claim) that the the top 50% earners pay 95% of the tax, does not in any way mean that all of those 50% are rich. 1 - The ones that are really really rich, are so rich that the amount they pay in tax, is that much. 2 - Even the poorest in that 50% group, are rich compared to the poorest in the other half.

The rich pay their fair share of taxes and own companies that employ people like you and me. So the more you tax the rich, the more people like you and me suffer. Think of it this way, a company passes along the costs to the customers.....or they cut back on other costs....like the number of people they employ....or their benefits...or both. Thus, high unemployment rates.
