Oct 19, 2009 - If Rourke would have won the Oscar (which any objective, sane person would acknowledge he should have) it would have been the greatest moment in the history of the Academy Awards - and probably the most honest speech, too. I don't blame Penn (he seemed embarassed) and he was classy in acknowledging Mickey and paying tribute to him (he knows what a great actor he is). Now I want to see Rourke and Penn do a movie together - they could play brothers.

Nov 6, 2009 - Yeah, it was a work of art. As far as training (you probably know this) -Rourke was very well trained at the Actors Studio in New York. In fact, its founder, the great director Elia Kazan, said that Rourke's audition piece was the best he'd seen in 30 years.
