Even if conservative women don't actually have to screw anyone to get ahead (though sometimes I'm sure they do) just look at Palin and every one of the blonde assembly line barbies on Fox news, they got where they are specifically because of their looks, and little else. Liberal women in the media, as you say, often aren't amazingly attractive, or are attractive in less conventional ways, it's their brains and talent that got them ahead.
