Whatever sentiment this lyric conveys, today's Square is more of a breakneck traffic roundabout, than an idyllic London park. And the Brits don't drive like New Yorkers: pedestrians are expected to scatter like chickens.

London endured a lot more than NYC when it came to devastation. Romance is romance, it's a romantic song. Nov 10, 2009 - I try not play this song too often but I find myself drawn to it for many reasons. I's the song that was played at my nans funeral. The song was a favourite of my nan. For me it brings back the loss and helps me to remember her. For me Vera Lynn has one of the most impressive vocal talent of any female artist I have ever heard. Her voice is simply amazing I couldn't think of anyone better to share the anniversary with. Requiescant in pace Nan 11-11-04, never forgotten always missed.
